I go food shopping every Saturday as part of my usual routine. I spend the morning cleaning the house and starting laundry and around noon I shop. My youngest works at our local supermarket so we get a small discount and because I am friendly with most of his coworkers, they will often open up a register for me so I don't have to wait on line (it pays to be nice!)

I tend to stock up and buy things when they're on sale so it isn't a large order every week but there are always things that are needed so once a week works for us. We have drive thru marts (Dairy Barn) so if we run out of milk or something during the week, they're handy.

We grocery shop once a week, usually on Mondays right after work. I go through the circular, check out online and print coupons, figure out what I might want to make for dinners for the week, and go from there. I always ask Dear Richard what he needs or wants me to add to the list or if he's hungry for anything in particular.

Sometimes we don't make it for a full order for a week or so, just run in for milk or cat food. But for the most part, we're on a weekly basis. Most of the time, Rick and I go together. I wouldn't even try PeaPod or something like that, nor would I let anybody shop for me, largely because I'm pretty picky about some items (produce, for example).

Well the grocery pickup was pretty successful. There were others getting things so I did have to wait a few minutes; but we were gone maybe 45 minutes total; including driving time there and back. I could realllllly have used this back with my kids were babies!!

Everything looks ok to me except some damaged apples that I'm not entirely certain is their fault because my kids helped carry a lot in and they had to go through 2 doors because DH is insulating our garage door and it can't be opened like normal. (Good thing I grabbed the eggs right?) They did substitute a number of things they were out of but that was my fault for not paying attention to the substitute check box. Most selections were fine but I will pay attention for the things I'm really brand specific about. Other things were like giving me 2 bags of 2 cup shredded cheese instead of 1 4 cup bag. No biggie. They generally substituted the Walmart brand also so it was cheaper. Thats ok for some things. I did end up with a giant pack of toilet paper instead of my normal 12 count one but we were down to the last roll at home so I'd have gotten the same one if I shopped myself.

I don't know that I will do the pickup every week; but if I know I've got a busy week coming I will definitely do it! Even just not waiting at the deli counter is such a time saver! I do think I spent less too. No impulse purchases. ;)

Once a week or less. I keep a list in the kitchen. Sometimes we just stop on the way home from church and pick up a few things and no weekly trip is needed.
