It looks okay to me, a little pink is normal and it looks like it is healing. If the vet says no come I wouldn’t worry about it.

Thanks! It’s been so long since I’ve had a pet spayed or neutered.

I worry with spay sites too. the majority of cats never have a problem, but some will. Anytime i have a cat spayed our vet does recommend the cone, cats can do a lot of damage if the lick.

I watch close, and if any gut feeling that something is not quite right i have no qualms about taking her back in and having the vet check. Sometimes there was no need, but sometimes it was a very good thing that i did. My vet knows i worry, and he is always happy to take a quick look when i feel somethings off.

hopefully no problem with hers, but if your concerned, take her in :heartshape: and do keep us updated!

She’s going in Saturday. I’m a huge over thinker so now I’ve worried myself to the point I’m couldn’t sleep. Hopefully it’s nothing.

Try not to worry! You are all over this, and a great cat mom! You've set up the appt for tomorrow and now it is just about getting through the next day/night and then going to the vet. :redheartpump:

Tabbytom linked to a great TCS article here about this type of surgery, but really, a lot of these concerns can apply to many types of surgery... e.g., only the vet and the vet nursing team will know what exactly went on during your kitty's particular surgery, and so only they know what possible complications might develop unique to your cat's situation.

I won't hijack your thread and go off-topic here by putting some photos of my own cat's knees about a week or two after her knee surgeries, but I remember I was freaking out over the difference between how her left knee looked a week post-surgery as compared to her right knee.
I was like this:
sm-129.gif
((panic mode))
and sent tons of left knee photos to the surgeon and his team. Only they know the parameters of healing to measure your cat's surgery site by. They know what to expect, and have performed and monitored a ton of surgeries. They calmed me down a bit, and later that left knee became more positive-looking to me (it wasn't infected per the surgeon and his nurses). So, only your vet can determine the state of things, and I'm so glad you have an appt tomorrow just to be sure of your kitty's status.
:cheerleader:

Update: the vet said her incision wasn’t infected but she had been licking it. Advised to just watch and maybe cone of shame her at night. We let her be and it’s totally healed now!
