I know it’s only November 3, but I have three kids so I always have to start thinking about it early! What do you get your cats, if anything, for Christmas??!

Honestly, I don't get anything for mine for Christmas, but that's because ALL of my family members that I exchange gifts with over the holidays buy them something. They know how devoted I am to them and really love them and know they are part of the family. Having said that, they each have a stocking that I hang, and on Christmas morning I spray it with catnip and hide treats in it for them to play with and for them find their surprise. I also put their gifts (from others) under the tree and they get a special meal on Christmas day. They also "give" gifts to everyone. They even have their own unique penmanship (signature) that they sign their cards/tags with. They get spoiled year round, but I do try to add a little Christmas cheer and excitement for them.

This is the girls' first Christmas. So far, I've bought a cat tree that they will get before Christmas in hopes that something new will give them an option of something to play with rather than the Christmas tree itself and a Christmas themed wand toy.

I like that stocking idea! This will be Firefly's first Christmas and I'm an awesome procrastinator and it hasn't crossed my mind. I'm planning on getting her a cat tree soon anyway. For Halloween I got her a clearance wand the day of.

I'd love to do a cat stocking one Christmas! In supermarkets and pet shops here in the UK they sell stockings full of Dreamies/Catisfactions - I was tempted to get one for Toffee and Fudge this year. Last year; I got them a special "treat mouse" that spilled treats when played with. The cats loved it!

We always get stuff for the cats at Christmas. They have stockings filled with treats and small toys. The larger items are usually wrapped up under the tree and they "help" me unwrap them.
Every year I make some simple homemade mice out of old socks, cotton batting and dried catnip. They know exactly what I'm doing when I bring out my sewing kit and I always have a fascinated audience while I make them. I will give them one to play with for a few minutes (quality control, you know ;)) but then all the little mice get tucked into the stockings until Christmas morning.
Sunshine has come up with some really ingenious ways to get to those stockings to sneak things out. One year I found her in the hallway dragging an entire stocking toward the bedroom!
Gifts are becoming more difficult because they already have everthing. So I think we have settled on a new water fountain, more cardboard scratchers, and some kind of motorized toy. I'm considering fling-ama-string. This will be Buddy's first Christmas and I would love to find something to use up a bit of that boundless kitten energy!
