Is it too late to help kitten? Stray kitten with front legs bending over at wrist, think shes 5 or 6 months old. Very small. Can I start bracing them, or is it too late?

There are several threads with links to information about twisted legs (I'll try and find links and put them below ) . I had a kitten with swimmers back legs and she did extremely well with some tapping , on the advice of a vet, but she was very young and not quite same thing (but when researching her issues came across positive stories about kittens with twisted legs).
I think quite possible the twisted leg of your kitten, may be result of tight tendons. I would really advise consulting a vet, but if you do try to brace by yourself, the advice of my vet was not to leave kitten alone with tapping on (in her case the back legs were tapped together in a more normal position), so risk of her getting caught on stuff) and to keep very close eye on paws for swelling and signs of circulation being compromised.
Thank you for caring for this kitten and hope she is able to improve

I fear its too late. All the others we adviced on were younger. But I suppose you can always try. AND pray. God has worked bigger miracles quite succesfully.

Before you start every massage session be sure the kitten is nicely warm and comfortable. The leg shall be nicely warmed up.

Several massage sessions every day when you have got up the tempo.

The massage shall not hurt.
- We had all seen oncoming young gymnasts where the trainers use full force to dilate them, to get their tendons and joins open - so I suspect such may sometimes be useful. But I wouldnt recommend this until you are entirely sure its what is needed and necessary and exactly how to do it so it will not be harmful. Not on my chargees young athletes and not on my chargees kittens.
So, it shall not hurt.
Hopefully the kitten will see it as you are playing with it, giving him yours full attention.

I think an IR heating lamp is what is needed. Its a key here, really.
Gives nice warmth, and the IR waves goes deeper in into tissues than common warmth from say, a heating pad.
Its no coincidence they are used much by rheumatics.

Possibly warm bath is useful too. Easy to say on humans, more difficult with cats, but if you manage the kitten to like bathing in warm water, so perhaps??

On IR lamps Im sure. this with warm baths is just an idea.
