It appears that my cat developed a dark spot on his eyelid next to the eye itself. It looks like a freckle. I am concerned that he might have caught something because it appeared overnight. What could this be ?

Where exactly is it? If the spot is near the corner of his eye, it could be just some dark discharge.

No it's on the other side and it can't be removed. I tried to get it off but it appears to be in the skin on the bottom part of the lid. I'm concerned he may have caught something. A woman that gave me a nice leather chair that has 2 outdoor cats had the same thing around their noses. I disinfected the chair as best as I could. What is this ? It looks like a small freckle but raised slightly. It dosent seem to bother him but it bothers me to think I might have brought in some disease. It's not fair to him. I'm upset.

It was a baby tick ! I pulled it off for him....i hope he dosent have anymore hidden somewhere. What's a good shampoo I could get to bathe him with ? I battled fleas with him when he was a kitten. I killed every last one of them for him. He hasn't had them since.
What I'm doing wrong is letting him outdoors now that I moved I have a yard and I'm off the main streets. I go out with him in short spurts sporadically throughout the week. I feel bad for him being stuck indoors since he was a kitten. But could this be causing harm ?
