Good luck @dalpaengi
LTS3 LTS3 How did your kids make out with their vet appts? Everything OK?

I'm so glad it's Saturday!
  • Breakfast for the kids, running the dishwasher now, fed Simone (sourdough starter), drinking my coffee now (Rick will scoop when he gets up from his nap)
  • I need to mow lawn today. Rick should be able to get the riding mower started, so I won't have to push-mow. Now, if I can just stay away from that redbud and those bees/wasps/whatever in the front yard....
  • Vacuum and Swiffer, wipe down the kitchen and bathroom (Rick is going to have to spray Home Defense outside and in the basement as I've been seeing wee little ants in the kitchen)
  • We're going to Lowes tonight to start looking at front doors

today i'll wash the dishes, scoop the litter boxes, and move those buns and pork bbq to the fridge to thaw.

i've already spent time on budgeting and planning. and i'll continue with some research.

i'll also pre-measure for 4 double batches of brownies/blondies. when baked, 3/4's of these will be for an upcoming 'benefit'/fundraiser.

after that, i'll likely be ready to simply sit and watch some tv.

You do not want to know what I did-- more than 3 things..

Renovations are 80% done. Enough for me to return to my apartment..

Ended up sweeping with broom, great room, kitchen, master bath and balcony..Not in that order..

Then Dry Swiffered the above. Then vacuumed the above; Then it was wet Swiffering all of the above..

Took all the tarp off the furniture in these rooms.

Vacuumed my bedroom, twice... washed my bathroom completely; put up shower curtain.

Then wiped down all of the insides of the New kitchen cabinets... nasty wood shaving from drilling.. wiped down with dry and then clorox wipes... Clorox wiped the new Stove a couple of times..

Washed a load of towels, which In used as coverings..

My bed is back!! sheets, pillows, bedspread...

I did have to Wet Swiffer the great room a few times. I keep finding dusty footprints and little tiny pieces of wood shavings... sigh...

I am exhausted.. physically aching...

Also, started putting some things back.. sentimental things... prints, pictures, wall clocks.. little knickknacks back to the books cases...

I cannot find anything!!!

My extra room is a disaster!!

Tomorrow, if My back is better, I will deal with the Guest Bathroom, the tarped linen and jacket closet... and wash some of my clothes... sigh...

So the place is 80% renovated.. Just waiting for electrician to install new lights. Two Ceiling lights in kitchen, an over the sink light, the new over the stove microwave.. and then, the painters come in to Patch the holes.. I am going to ask them to either touch up many areas---- Blue Tape does take off th paint.. sigh....or ask them to give me a bit of paint for touch up....

I will be so glad when this over.. Praying for another week....

So, More than 3 things, today...... hurting....

Having a nice alcoholic Limoncello with Vodka and water: and adult beverage lemonade.. I needed it... and a mushroom pizza for supper...I have no food in the house!!!! YIKES!!!!!

The cats are more or less fine. Leroy is on pred for a few more weeks before we can try to stop it again. Hopefully the asthma won't kick in once it's stopped like it did the last time :crossfingers: Emma will take Pepcid for a couple more days to help with the vomiting. She hasn't vomited since taking it.

I stopped by the pet store on the way back to pick up my order of NV.

Later in morning I went to the supermarket. I didn't buy too much since I had gone to Wegman's just yesterday.

LTS3 LTS3 I hope the kids will be back to normal soon. Our Banshee had asthma, too, and we had some trouble trying to get meds to work with her. I hope the Pepcid will continue to help Emma. Good luck!

artiemom artiemom Wow, you were so busy yesterday! You deserved that drink! Take it easy today for your back.
Got the whole yard mowed yesterday with the riding mower....no stings. :yess: But we didn't sleep well last night; the cooler weather has brought out the craziness in the cats. They were stalking each other, jumping on and off the bed (and my bladder), hanging out in the windows and meowing at the "whatever" outside, and just being weird. They even had The Beast awake at 3:00. Now they're pretty much all sound asleep.
  • Breakfast for the kids, ran the dishwasher, scooped boxes, stripped the bed down and put flannel sheets on
  • The sheets are in the washer (I did three loads of laundry yesterday, so we're caught up)
  • Vacuum and get the pool covered for the winter
  • Visit with Rick's mom tonight

Leroy is never "normal"

Today BJs for more cat litter and toilet paper.

I need to run across the street to the grocery store for milk and carrots. I just need two carrots to make dinner with, not a whole bag which the supermarket only has.

Maybe I'll swap out the "summer" curtains for the "winter" ones:think:

Well, right now it's about 10 in the morning, and I haven't done much but I think I have done 3 things. I've brushed my teeth, ate breakfast, and given the cat food.

today i'll make some light brown sugar (molasses mixed with white sugar), and may pre-measure for that upcoming baking -- that didn't get done yesterday. i'll wash the dishes, and scoop the litter boxes.

i'll continue with the research.

after that, i'll play some computer games, and watch some tv.

There is an upcoming full moon.. so everything is off kilter....

*Had some yogurt and iced coffee for Breakfast
*Went to Mass
*Discovered the car's low tire pressure light was on ~~~ a really nice man from church had an air pump and took care of me
*Went to bakery for tomorrow's breakfast--blueberry muffin
*Target for a bath mat for tub--cannot find mine. It is packed somewhere
*Read paper

Now on line.. I think I may take a nap. I am exhausted from yesterday and the week.

It was extremely nice of my friend to have me over for the week; however, there is nothing like home.. never slept well... so I am exhausted..

I didn't really do a lot today because I got sick last night, possibly food poisoning, so I've been taking it easy today. I watched a Red Skelton movie and was going to watch 2 more that came in the set but my DVD player wouldn't play them because they were scratched up. I also cross-stitched a bit and watched some episodes of my favorite show, Castle. My dad also stopped by because I had some books to give my mom but I didn't want to drive an hour there when I wasn't feeling well. My dad goes to church with my grandpa every so often so he was going to be nearby and I asked him to stop by.

Gosh, I can't believe it's Monday already. After I finished with inside work yesterday, I went outside and helped Rick out a bit. He was working on taking down (yet) another tree and there was a lot of wood to haul around. It was a busy day. And now he starts 10-hour days again, so the week isn't going to be pretty. We visited with Rick's mother last night, so we stopped at the grocery store on the way home instead of shopping tonight; I knew Rick wouldn't want to shop tonight after working.
  • Breakfast for the kids, did a walk, and got ready for work
  • Mailed some letters, Clarence and I stopped for gas
  • Scoop the boxes
  • I think Murphy Brown comes on tonight and I'd like to check it out. I always liked that show

I took my cats to the vet this morning, then went to my therapy appointment and later I might go to this writing workshop I signed up for, otherwise I'm just going to cross stitch again.

Last night around 8:30 I was lying in bed, reading a library book on my iPad. I had the tv on. And I said to myself, "You know, Self, you're tired, you're sleepy and here you are with your nose in your iPad. For crying out loud, woman, turn it all off and go to sleep!" And that's exactly what I did. I think I was fast asleep inside of five minutes, if even that.
  • Breakfast for the kids, did a walk, got ready for work
  • Scoop the boxes
  • A quick vacuum about the house

  • Breakfast for the kids, did a walk, general clean-up, sorted laundry
  • Laundry night
  • Trash night
Since Rick is working 10-hour days I'm trying to get things done before he gets home from work. So I make his lunch for the next day and throw it in the fridge; if there are leftovers from our dinner and he wants it, I'll stick that in his lunch, too. Tonight I'll scoop the boxes and get the trash outside; all he has to do is take it down to the road for pick-up tomorrow morning. I try to have dinner ready so that as he comes up the driveway after work at 6:00, I'm putting everything on the table. We're getting too old to deal with OT. It's simply too much of a hassle.

today i washed the dishes, scooped the litter boxes, and took out the trash. i ran some errands: CVS, the bank, then a quick grocery shopping. after i got home and kitties had a snack, i put the few items i'd bought away, then i froze the better part of the milk i bought in pint jars, and bagged the frozen red bell pepper halves that i froze last night. i got everything ready, then made a batch of extra chunky cinnamon applesauce (using local Cortland apples :yummy: ). that's now finishing cooling in the fridge, and will be moved to the freezer tomorrow. i moved a container of sloppy joes, and a vacuum sealed bag of smoked turkey cold cuts to the fridge to thaw. i also spent a short while with my budget.

Did you post the recipe for the It Won't Last Cake in the Foodie thread? If not will you send me a message with the recipe? Why is it called that?
Thanks!

I'm glad it's Saturday!
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher (Rick will scoop when he gets up from his morning nap; he came home yesterday from work, ate dinner, hit the couch, and that was all I heard from him for the rest of the night.)
  • Last night, I fed my sourdough starter. This morning, I took out 8 ounces of fed starter to make two loaves of sourdough bread. I thought I'd try my brotform liner today, too. The starter is in the microwave, away from nosy kitties; it should be at room temp by now and I can start in.
  • Errands: banking, butcher shop for skirt steak for a new recipe I want to try today, Target to pick up meds, grocery store, etc.
  • A good vacuum and dusting about the house, wipe down the kitchen and bathroom
  • Need to get about 3 pounds of chicken pieces out of the freezer to thaw for Sunday's dinner
  • I'll probably end up mowing yard late this afternoon.
Since it's to be rather cool tonight, we're thinking of having a campfire. It would be nice to sit by the fire and chat for a while. I'll probably call my sister and BIL to see if they want to join us.
