My cats seem to like pate and I rotate different foods each day. They are getting sick of a couple of them so what is your cat's favorite canned grain free food?
thank you.

Olive loves everything, lol! Her favorites are Life's Abundance Pate(lifesabundance.com is the only way to buy, they do sell sample single cans), Rawz (beef, turkey or chicken pates), Hound & Gatos Gamebird pate, Petcurrean Fit & Free (they have one pate and one stew), Tiki Cat After Dark (shreds, lots of broth). I also feed her Primal freeze-dried raw rabbit occasionally and last night I tried Primal frozen raw rabbit and she seemed to love it.

Gohan is very picky, and we are trying to find wet food he likes. So far he will tolerate Life's Abundance and Lotus pates (chicken, duck or turkey). He just tried some Nature's Logic Rabbit pate and he seemed to really like it.

I usually rotate a lot of different wet foods, but I always have a case of Nature's Variety Instinct chicken pate on hand. They're never gotten sick of it.

I don't pay much attention to grain free, I want to see CARB free because the grains in grain free are usually just replaced with crap like pea and potato and other starches which are just as bad. Grain free is a great marketing ploy :flail:

I am currently giving mine Fancy Feast, or Friskies Classics Pate as they are VERY low carb (under 5% I belive) and Meow Mix Tender Favorites Salmon & Crab and Tuna & Shrimp as they are only like 2% carbs and very high protein. I rotate. I used to feed all the grain free expensive crap out there.

Read catinfo.org
It is a very helpful site.

Me too. I switched over to the pates and my cats' energy has increased and they are playing like kittens, they don't sleep all day like before. I'm not sure why pate is healthier, but I guess because it's low carb? I certainly notice a difference.

I second the Instinct grain free chicken pate - which is also low in carbs as it's 95% chicken. The only one they like better is the Instinct rabbit pate (but it is considerably more expensive, so they don't get that one all the time.)

Below is a lot but my cats always finish their foods! Btw i have learned that "grain free" isn't as important as "low carb." The pet food companies can sneakily use no grains but add carbs through other venues

Dr Elsey's Chicken, Turkey
Evangers Holistic Quail
I and love and you Chicken, Turkey
Hound and Gatos Rabbit
Avoderm Natural Salmon - the one with the all grey cat
Lotus Rabbit - Beware their carb content is high so i would only use this in rotation.

My cats are not fond of pate for the most part, they prefer shreds suck as Almo nature and Fussie cat, or minced. They will occasionally eat some FF classics.

Right now i am trying the Purina Beyond wild prey, Turkey, liver and quail. They seem to like it.

They will also eat the wellness core chicken, turkey and liver.

Seems my guys will eat a little pate, if it has liver in the top 2 or 3 ingredients, i dont want it to be the 1st, but otherwise i think it good for them.

Raja and Mizu are currently eating:
Merrick Beef pate
Nutro soft turkey loaf pate
Nutro Perfect portions real turkey pate
Halo Salmon
Natural Balance Chicken and chicken liver pate

They also like a couple of shreds but it isn't very consistent.

Sylvie eats only pate-texture canned foods (as well as freeze-dried raw). The ones in her current rotation are Rawz beef and I and Love and You rabbit. She seems to really like the IALAY rabbit. Her enthusiasm for the Rawz beef varies. I think that might be connected with the fact that the food's texture also varies; in some cans it's a very smooth pate, and in others it's drier and more solid.

I pretty much always buy variety packs. I get the "poultry pate favorites" of the Friskies. It includes chicken & liver, turkey & giblets, mixed grill and poultry platter. She has had country style dinner in the past too when I grabbed individual cans for whatever reason. I don't think we've tried supreme supper.

Fancy Feast I usually get this variety pack...
Fancy Feast Classic Poultry & Beef Feast Variety Pack Canned Cat Food, 3-oz, case of 30

Chicken & liver
turkey & giblets
beef & chicken

Now that I look at Supreme Supper, there's a picture of fish on the label. Should I eliminate that flavor? Does it have a lot of fish in it?
I think the picture is why I have avoided that flavor but actually reading the ingredients it doesn't appear to have any more fish than the rest of the flavors...it's still listed as the 5th-6th ingredient so I'm not sure why they put that picture on there...

Pretty much exactly that. Country Style Dinner doesn't ring a bell though...

jen jen ---Thanks. I was making a list of pates for my friend. I know some of them have fish, but it's further down the list of ingredients. There are 6 that don't have fish though, if I ever want to go fish free.
