Thank you 1CatOverTheLine for your patience. I know that on the subject of words usage and meanings I can be a pain in the neck but I cannot help myself. When the usage of a word surprises me I just have to investigate. Thanks again.

Many thanks also ileen and mnm for confirming that in the States the word "sink" is used indistinctively for the kitchen and bathroom basins. We live and learn.

This is an adorable photo debbila ! Chicqui reminds me of my Speedy a bit. Also for sure, they are both Snowshoes!
