I have a beautiful stray cat that showed up in the cornfield in front of my house about 2 months ago. I think she is just a few weeks pregnant now, her stomach all of sudden got bigger and she is acting different. Anyways, I can't seem to find that she has any nipples. Her fur is between a long hair and a short hair cat. Will I eventually find them the farther along her pregnancy gets?

Yes, you will find them eventually. She will probably start licking around them and the hair will be removed. What do you think you will do with the kittens?

Thank you for answering my question. After I left this message I searched her again and found one nipple. They sure are tiny and under a lot of fur. As for the kittens she will have, I don't know. I have several options. I live way out in the county across from my landlord who is a farmer. They said I could let the kittens, when they are old enough, live on their farm with their female cat or I could keep them. I could let other people adopt them too. I just know once the kids and I see them we won't want to give any away. I have a problem with that. We got a female guinea pig 2 1/2 yrs ago and we found out she was pregnant not long after we bought her. Once the kids and I saw the 3 babies I couldn't give any of them away. We each have our favorite one. My daughter has a rabbit, but thank goodness it is a boy, and so is the hamster. And as for all the fish we have, well most of them I can't tell if they are male or female. Anyways, I am thinking the cat would be due in December. We will just have to call them our Christmas babies. Our adopted stray cat looks alot like the one in your message picture except ours has two left caramel paws and two right dark paws and her fur a little longer.

Well, hopefully for your sake, she won't have 8 like the stray I adopted did, LOL! It was quite expensive getting them fed and their first shots. But 2 people at work adopted kittens, and several of my daughter's friends as well. And hopefully you can require they get the kittens fixed.

Ummm, FYI, I've just joined this forum that I didn't know exists, from my question to Google. I realized that my cat doesn't have nipples, and I don't think that's normal at all, is it? Both genders have them, and all my cats in my life all had them. Where can I find the answer to this?

Can you post photos? I'm sure your cat has nipples, though they may be small.

Is your cat pregnant? Do you have a reason to be concerned?

Cats are pregnant for 9-10 weeks, so she’s due much before Xmas :)

My girl was fixed from the humane society, but a little too soon I felt. they won't adopt out unless you pick up from the vet here, no matter what age. she always had a knot that felt like a slight hernia, but I just kept an eye out on her. Now 6, all body fat is trapped it seams, behind that knot.
I'm just not sure if all of this might be related, or if not having nipples is bad or not.

Most of the time, nipples on males and spayed females aren't visible. They're quite small and flat and covered in fur. I bet if she got shaved you would find them, lol. But it's nothing to worry about. Kitties don't need to fill out a bikini :D.
