Just want to vent. Week 3 of my class has started - my classes are divided into week long sessions - and my professor still hasn't graded anything. If there's something I need to improve on, I would like to know before the next assignment so I can avoid repeating mistakes! Students have to stick to deadlines - shouldn't professors???

We have calming tablets for Aedan and I dropped one and can't find it. I've checked every inch of the floor and torn the couch apart. If one of the cats got it, can it hurt them?
Ingredients: chamomile extract, marigold extract, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, xylitol, magnesium steerate, maltodextrin, hyaluronic acid

That would drive me nuts. With my last online class, I routinely turned assignments in early. I thought I was doing my professor a favor, but he wound up holding onto stuff until the due date. My next online professor says she likes to get grading done several days a week.

Man, I missed you guys last week! I wasn't planning no not being here, but I did have several things scheduled, and EVERY ONE OF THEM took 5 times longer than it should have! It's so good to be back getting my cat-and-cat-person fix!

Unfortunately, yes, xylitol is toxic to cats :/. There's not a lot of info on the toxic dosage for cats, only dogs, so I don't know if one tablet would be enough to hurt them. Keep an eye out for signs of hypoglycemia anyway.

They seem just fine. The tablets are teeny tiny. About the size of a birth control pills. I looked again but I can't find it anywhere. But the cats weren't in here when I dropped it. They were all napping in Aislyn's room. It's like it disappeared into thin air.

I'd believe it. My linen closet/medicine chest has made quite a list of medications disappear, and no matter how much I search for a lost pill I never find it or any previous pills.

I'm gonna vacuum the couch and stick the hose way down in it and hope maybe it's caught where I can't see or reach and will get sucked out. That's all I can come up with. Hopefully if a furry butt does come across it, he won't be interested, anyway. But cats are like kids. They always want what they're not supposed to have.

My experience with cats, they don't care about pills. I drop one in front of any of them, the cat takes two sniffs and then walks away/demands food.

Has any one who has Oatback Steakhouse restaurants had the new special... Steak & Lobster for $15.99? I had a bad experience so be careful when you order it. The BF and I went tonight and told the waiter we'd both like the Steak & Lobster special. I asked if there was any specific steak or did we have a choice? The waiter said " The sirloin steak and the filet are both on the special ". We gave our orders, ate our dinner, and when the check came it was for $79.99 :jawdrop: . The ' special ' was listed for $34.99 each, with one drink and tax. I told the waiter the bill is wrong, that the dinners were charged at the regular price. The manager came over and told us that location is corporate and they don't honor the advertised special. Told him the waiter didn't tell us that, in fact we were given the two choices of steak. His excuse was their special is $3 off the regular price. Not being told that, we wanted the advertised price. He said all he could do because there was a ' miscommunication ', was to give us $10 off each dinner. We felt we had to except it but we were furious.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to give the facts in detail. Non-corporate restaurants honor the special so ask before ordering. Forwarned is forarmed! :argh:

You can bet I'd fire off a letter to the CEO. Be nice, not sarcastic or rude. State exactly what happened very matter-of-factly, without hystrionic adjectives. and enclose a copy of your bill. Request a refund or a gift card for the overcharge. State that you want a written response by a specific date. Make it about three weeks from the date of your letter. Be sure to include a phone number, email and full address.

I know from both training and experience that this is a good way to get something done. Remember, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

Thank you for the experienced advise. How do I find where to write to the CEO? I told my BF when I was working we had to know the right way to do the job, and we had to do it or we were out on our ear. Our waiter sure didn't.

I handled complaints for a living, so I know what makes an effective letter. If you want to PM me, I'll be glad to help you.

Do you know the manager's name? The waiter's? If not, try to get them. You should be able to call and ask for the manager's name. Make sure he is the one who was on duty when you were there. Your check should have a server's ID on it. You'll need the date, place, and time you were there, too. The more specifics you have, the better.

I thought there is a law against false advertising. Next commercial see if there's any sort of "only at participating locations" shown at all during the commercial.

Good luck with your letter!
It's my birthday. I'm trying to decide where to have dinner. John's aunt is taking us. We don't have an outback here lol. I'm thinking la fuente. They have amazing chimichangas. I refuse to go back to Ruby Tuesday's. It was awful the last time and my complaint was ignored. And I'm kinda in the mood for Mexican, anyway. I'd love a margarita, but I don't want to get the baby drunk.

When my cousin was nursing, her doctor said that one drink once in a while wouldn't hurt the baby, and she didn't even need to "pump 'n' dump" :dunno:. My SIL used to pump 'n' dump whenever she had a drink though. You could call your doctor and ask.

Pump and dump isn't necessary because the alcohol leaves your milk at the same rate that it leaves your blood. Usually, an hour per drink is considered safe. But I have had the margaritas there before - they're really strong; they probably count as at least 3 drinks. And I'm not gonna order a drink at a restaurant and not finish it. I might just buy some wine coolers and have one this evening after I get little man to sleep. As long he sleeps for at least an hour, it'll be fine.

Well, never mind! Mother Dragon Mother Dragon already took care of that for you!

I'm getting weary of Cat Opera at 5 AM. Unfortunately, my soulmate is crepuscular. I think I need to either stay up 2 hours later, or try to start getting up 8 hours earlier. Bleh.
