Ive recently switched my girls from Purina cat chow to taste of the wild Rocky Mountain dry formula. It seemed to go great, even though they aren’t crazy about the new food. I mean who would be, going to a somewhat healthier food. I’ll admit I was ignorant about cat nutrition and free fed my cats purina cat chow.... my cats are overweight from that. I’ve noticed on TOTW, my cats have more energy and they have softer coats, shed less... I’m only concerned because even after I’ve slowly transitioned to TOTW dry food, I’ve been giving them 3/4 a cup every day in a bowl upstairs and downstairs. When I go to fill the bowls the next morning, the average is they eat 1/4 a cup from each bowl per day, I can’t tell what cat is eating more or less. my Cats seem to be dropping weight, idk if it’s them not eating enough, or being more active? Benny gets canned food so I’m not as worried about her, but Cookie doesn’t eat canned food, only fancy feast broths/delectables, and those are complementary to a cats diet. Her belly is starting to become flabby and she has more definition in her flanks. They’ve been switched for about a month. I’ve her cats can develop fatty liver by refusing to eat. Am I just being a worry wart?
