I see. . .When a cat is in heat, she doesn't care whether the tom she finds is "mean." She just cares that he's male. The feline reproductive mechanics are rather brutal.
I'm going to be honest, in the past few days I've been giving her some milk, for the following reasons:Virtually all adult cats are lactose intolerant; you were right to avoid it. Almond milk is highly unlikely to be palatable to a cat, though it wouldn't hurt her in small quantities.
1. I don't have any other food to give her at the moment.
2. To make sure she doesn't leave my area.
3. To provide her with nutrients to make up for the lack of food.
4. And now that she has these kittens, I want to be sure that they are getting nutritious milk from Mittens.
I am reluctant to give her milk, but I'll be sure to do it in moderation.
