Oooh, nice @LTS3  , I have decided I really like colouring mandalas.   Which book did you get?

Like that you company is at least trying to support emplyees in terms of stress.

It's not from an actual book. The company put together a booklet with coloring pages that were printed from the Internet.  Some of the pictures were ones I used for a coloring book gift last year

I wish the company had a de-stress program a year or so ago. I was under a lot of stress back then
There was a weekly yoga class but I never had time to go to a class. There's a de-stress workshop next week which I'm planning to attend. I have to skip a lunch meeting to go to it. Next month there's a 6 week pilot program for a more in depth stress management. I haven't seen the sign up for that yet. It's limited to 6 to 10 people.

I love coloring in those adult coloring books.  I received one as a gift after major surgery last year and was hooked.  It was one that had flower arrangements in it.  Since then, I have 4 other adult coloring books: mandalas, Good Vibes, Christmas-themed one, and one that is called Color Me Delicious that I found at a local grocery store.

I use colored pencils and fine tip markers.  I found that the 50 pack of Crayola Super Fine markers work great for these coloring books.

These coloring books are being used quite a bit right now, because I am recovering from yet another surgery.  Great way to distract you from post-surgical pain.

Has anyone finished an entire book yet? I can't even finish one page.

No I haven't finished an entire book. The pictures are so detailed. Plus when I do it, I am sitting on the porch with a cat in my lap. He gets insulted because he wants my hands on him rubbing and paying attention to him. When he gets tired of me coloring, he plays in the box of colored pencils and I have to stop. :lol3: I have started using one of the colors to write the date on the picture when I finish the coloring.
I will save them in the rest of my sentimental junk for my kids to decide which trash can they want to throw it in.

All coloring books are relaxing
You can buy coloring books anywhere: book stores, Wal Mart, Target, dollar stores, supermarkets, CVS, Walgreens, various online web sites. etc.

You can also print out coloring pages online for free. There are many web sites. Just Google search for them
Here's one with mandalas: http://www.free-mandalas.net/

Here's a free coloring page of artichokes: http://www.thekitchn.com/a-printable-adult-coloring-page-for-artichoke-lovers-228560 I think it's from the same book as above.

Hope everyone is still coloring:wavey: Has anyone gotten new pencils or markers or books? I'm still working through what I have. I'd like to get markers but I worry about the ink bleeding through the page. Some of my books have pretty thin paper.
I got a set of prismacolors. They are much less expensive on Amazon than other places(except for maybe EBay)

Have fun with them.   I still love my Prismacolor pencils.
I never knew colour pencils could be so bright and intense until I found out about them - here on this thread!

I'm using the Secret Graden coloring book, what about you?
I found a cheat online you can use eyeshadow or blush for the backgrounds, it is much quicker than coloring with pencil.

I am currently coloring in a book from Wal Mart. It is the Posh Coloring Book, Inspirational Quotes for Fun and Relaxation. I love it.
I have several I order from E-Bay but haven't used them yet. One is a cat book with directions on colors and texts explaining what breeds of cats they are. I am anxious to use it too. :lol3:

Anybody still coloring? I am! Not regularly, since the seasons changed, but once in while, I'll grab a book and some markers and sit down for a while. Rick said he wants me to find a "male-oriented" coloring book. I told him I'd try to find one with cars and trucks and maybe a few boats or something.

I love adult colouring and regularly colour (every day if I can). I must share some photos of my finished work soon! I've completed 4 books so far and am just over halfway on my 5th.

I love coloring books! I have about a dozen right now and several sets of pencils and gel pens. I have plenty of supplies but I can't help looking for more on amazon. They have a huge selection of goodies and I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas whenever I order something :yess: I find coloring so relaxing and it helps me turn my mind off.

Anybody try diamond crossstiching as a coloring book alternative? I started one a few weeks back and do a row or two from time to time. Just barely made a dent in it but it is relaxing.

I am definitely still colouring but I love a number of crafting things as well and tend to move between them in phases. Not done any colouring for a couple of months but I have all my books and pencils to hand beside my bed for when I feel like picking it up again. Most often I will do it when I'm not sleeping that well.
Cross-stitch is definitely not for me. For some reason I get bored of it very quickly which is strange given how I love other sewing, weaving and knitting activities.

I've never gotten into the adult colouring books, which is ironic since I loved colouring as a kid. I did cross stitch years and years and years ago. But eventually grew tired of it.
