2 nights ago, my mom and I were just chilling in our living room when out of the blue, a cat just appeared right in the middle of our living room! We live in an apartment on the 9th storey in Singapore. My first thought was that it's probably someone else's cat. (no collar though).

Asked around my neighbours and put up "found cat" notices around my neighbourhood.
Turns out, she was a community cat (stray cat living on the ground floor) from a few blocks away. I pass by that block on my way home every evening from work (my pet photography studio is just 5 min walk away. I'm a Pet Photographer by profession).
I reckon she must have watched me and followed me home. However, i have no idea how she got on a lift and knows exactly where i live!

So far she has been a really sweet and obedient girl. She gives me no trouble at all, no fuss and no disturbance at night. I'm surprised she doesn't shed at all so far. Am curious as to what breed she is. Her short ears and kinda broad face reminds me of Scottish Folds. Her eyes and face shape look almost like a Burmilla... The marking on the top of her head is really interesting too..

Any other guesses? :D
Oh and i just named her today. Lucky Luna :D

She’s so cute and a very striking cat! She’s so lucky to have found you! Without a DNA test, it’s impossible to know for sure which breeds she has in her, so all we can do is speculate. With her slightly folded ears, I agree that it’s possible that she has some Scottish Fold in her. In that picture of her on the couch, she is sitting in the “Buddha position”, which is a common behavior we see in Scottish Folds. I also think it’s a possibility that she has some Abyssinian influence, since she has ticked fur, and also long legs and a lean body.

Adopted ex homeless are often the best pets. I see she is already friends with your dog. This is no small feat as for a homeless street cat dogs are often their worst enemies.
All in all - this is surely a sign from above. A Godsend.

A guess she will have a mission a task to do, besides being a nice household member and a loved pet.
Animal assisted theraphy???

Patternwise she is a diluted tortie with white. She is also a ticked tabby. Ticked diluted torbie with white?

Very pretty girl. Here too you were lucky and richly gifted.

Trained her to get into a pet carrier within minutes. Was at the vet this morning and she hardly flinch when she had the vaccination and deworming. She is as cool as a cucumber throughout, even though i know she is feeling nervous. At the end of the consultation, she automatically walked back into the pet carrier on her own. I feel like such a proud mother!
I still can't believe how well-behaved and considerate she is. I wonder who taught her manners, haha...

Anyway, turns out she is about 2-3 yrs old. Clean bill of health!

StefanZ StefanZ She was already neutered before she came to me.
In Singapore, the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) carries out national trap-neuter-release programme for stray cats and dogs to manage the population.

A ArchyCat I do agree. My hunch is she was probably taken care off by a family when she was a baby. But was abandoned into the streets for whatever reason. Thus she seems very grateful now that we have accepted her into our family. :)

Yes, I was on verge to write it down. Part of her excellent behavior and becoming friend with the dog, IS she is grateful, and eager to please herself in.

Still, whom complains? This is a true win-win situation.

Wow, nice! It seems we others could learn more than a few things from Singapore!

Is there some good description online? Does it works good in practice?
