Oscar's Adventures

Oscar went on his first hike today! He didn't especially love the snow, but he loved riding in his pack and looking around! His favorite part of the day was taking a break in the hammock which is always my favorite part too.

How fun! It’s always great to see kitties enjoying walks! Oscar is such a sweetie!

Pawsome!

Buddy's not a big fan of the snow either. After about 10 - 15 minutes he's wanting in his backpack.

I don’t think Oscar even lasted 2 minutes lol. He then laid flat down and gave me his sad kitty eyes... so in the pack he went. He likes being out in the yard with me when there’s no snow and walking on his leash. He will like walking on hikes when there isn’t snow, because he loved all the scenery!

I found a raincoat for Oscar! Now he will be comfy if it rains a little when we hike! He didn't try to take it off so I think he likes it! If anything he is adorable in it!

Oscar is so cute all dressed up! He looks ready to explore!

Today was sunny and warm so I put together our new grill and Oscar helped. After that I worked on some yard work while Oscar explored the back yard. He is really starting to love going outside and is doing great with his harness and leash. I have started to stake down a tether and he is understanding that he can only go as long as the tether.

Oscar and I finally got to get out today for our first Spring hike. He definitely likes warm weather better than snow! However he still likes taking a break in the hamockh the best of all! I was calling him Oscar the Adventure Kitty, but he has now rightly earned the trail name Oscar the Hammocking Cat!He fell asleep in his basket in the car on the way home. He was tuckered out from all the hiking and riding in the pack! All in all it was another great day!

It’s great to see handsome Oscar having some fun in the sun! Thanks for the update. I love seeing pictures of him.

I bought a new backpack that Oscar loves! He is ready for some serious hiking!

Today started out raining but we knew it was going to clear, so we all put in our rain coats and hit the trail. We made sure Oscar stayed warm and dry but he was curious and wanted to check everything out despite the rain within 30 minutes the rain stopped so Oscar could explore. and relax in the hammock Oscar especially enjoyed checking out logs todayWe were both tired at the end of the day but Oscar was such a trooper today!

Today was national trail day. I took Oscar on his longest hike yet! This cat enjoyed 9 miles! He isn't trying to escape here, he was just being a goof and hanging his paws out, because apparently that's more comfortable when you want to see everything! He discovered how soft Moss and pine needles are! As usual he took a nap in the hammock! Oscar was so content in the woods today. He usually gets a little ansy toward the end of the hike, but he was happy all day today! Did I mention we hike 9 miles?

Yesterday before our hike we went to the North Country Trail headquarters in Lowell Michigan. Oscar thought he should be exploring instead of doing a photo shoot so he looks a little disgruntled in this picture! The staff was really excited to hear how much Oscar enjoys being on the trail.As usual Oscar enjoyed exploring and relaxing in the woods. Towards the end of the day he was tuckered out and fell asleep in my pack! All in all it was another good hike.
