Question Of The Day, Friday, April 20

Good morning! And Happy Friday!

I had a gift card and a settlement from Barnes and Noble that was burning a hole in my pocket, so I went into town yesterday during lunch and bought some books. One of the books is The Perfect Cookie by America's Test Kitchen. It's a good book with lots of interesting cookies, brownies, and bars to try. (I always buy cookie books; Rick is an insatiable cookie monster.)

So we were talking about the book last night and Rick asked me what my favorite cookie is. I had no real answer, but mentioned chocolate chip cookies. It's hard to have only one kind of cookie! He, of course, is a huge snickerdoodle fan, but even he had trouble just mentioning only one cookie.

Maybe you can do better than we did last night: What is your favorite cookie? If you could only eat one cookie, what would it be? You can mention only one!

Chocolate Chip

There are two I like. But since I am only allowed to mention one, I'll say chocolate chip. The crispy kind. I have a hard time finding ones I like and my other favorite is available at my favorite grocery store at a great price, so I eat more of them. But I love crispy chocolate chip cookies.

That's a tough one because I'm not a big cookie person. I guess I will go with shortbread.

Especially when they are dipped in dark chocolate.

Toll House chocolate chip. It's a classic for a reason!

bokkepoot cookie (almond meringue with butter cream and chocolate)

Chocolate Chip cookies, especially if they're homemade.

peanut butter cookies

I am not a huge cookie person, but I once had a lemon cookie with white chocolate chunks. It was super yum, I could probably have that everyday.

I can usually pass on cookies, but I do like chewy ginger cookies. A whole lot!

White chocolate macadamia

Oatmeal raisin with a handful of chocolate chips added. It's delicious!

Shortbread's the best!

I had that same B&N credit waiting on me - went on a little Nook-book spree with it!

Favorite cookie would have to be regular fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.

The honey peanut butter cookies I make....awesome.
