Is there a particular reason he was shaved? Has he been shaved before? Depending on where you're located, he may be cold. He also may have been nicked while getting shaved. I've heard shaving the rear end can be especially difficult. If he was matted his skin may be a bit sore because mats can pull very tightly at the skin.

There is a lot of reasons he's hair everywhere in the house he is long hair cat and yes it was matted and I woke up every morning cleaning up hairballs
Yes I always shaved him in summer but this is the first time he acts like that :cringe:

My best guess is he's uncomfortable. If you've ever worn your hair up very, very tightly for a day your scalp gets sore. That's the same idea as matting, except it's far longer than a day. Regular brushing would help with the hair all over the house and can aid in preventing matting if done often with the proper tools. You can also carefully cut out individual mats.

Hi - does his hair feel wiry? Like, when he's laying down is it poking him? Did some of the clippers oil get on him?
What if you give him a bath? Get him wet, then very gently massage with a solution of one part cat shampoo (human shampoo can dry out his skin) to five parts water, working from head to tail, in the direction of hair growth. Take care to avoid the face, ears and eyes. Then rinse with lukewarm water, really really well.
Wrap your cat in a large towel and dry him with it in a warm place, away from drafts, don't rub just gently work the towel in the direction of the hair growth.

His body condition looks ok - no worries there.

When my cat had to get an ultrasound, they shaved her entire tummy, and she was so uncomfortable. I think it was just a matter of her being used to having a full coat between her and the world, so when she sat down on the hardwood floor, it was too cold, and when she sat on the rug, it was too scratchy. Hair is, to some extent, a sensory organ, and shaving it does change the way things feel.

Gwen got used to her hairless belly after 4-5 days, so maybe your kitty just needs to adjust. But since shaving your cat seems to be make him uncomfortable, maybe it would be better in the future to simply brush him frequently to prevent knots and tangles.
