I've always said the body is but a vessel to hold the 'essence' of who is really there. That is why anyone we love doesn't look like who we remember, what truly was them has moved on. What happens to the body, how we memorialize it, is personal and up to those left behind. Love is spiritual and will always be there. Who we loved will always be near in our memories and our hearts, always be tied to our souls with the bond we formed through love.

I am going to throw this in here from my own experience. If someone is looking at this because of expense check with your vet to find out who they use. There is a funeral home here that does cremations and advertise, I had thought this was the going rate for this area. When my Patches passed last month, he was euthanized at the vet clinic, they arranged for cremation with a service they use. I had never heard of them. I got the ashes back in a nice wooden box with a brass nameplate, they even brought his ashes to me at home. Their price was less than half the cost of this funeral home that advertises here.

Hello there. My friend has a kitten who’s recently passed. Her cat had kittens and the runt was the one she attached
To but also was too small to survive a week. One of the cats must’ve ccidentslly snapped her neck, and she can’t bring herself to bury the cat for the decaying reasons . She wants to cremate the kitten and incorporate her in like a bracelet or downing. Do you know how or where she could do it ?

There are people who make jewelry that incorporates ashes or hair, this video might give you some ideas about how that can be done.

Same here. I could not do it myself but it was a lovely tribute for you. Charlie was the first of all our cats I decided to have cremated (for the same reason you'd mentioned about not wanting him to be left behind..all others were buried at various homes). I didn't even want to touch the ashes when moving them from the standard plastic box into the ceramic canister so I left the baggie sealed. I know all dna is gone but...those little grains are still him. I think it was a brave thing to do considering your worries about it not working properly.
