Great that you’ve found homes for them. And also keeping the rest indoors and keeping watch on them.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We’ll try our best to help you.

Hey everyone. A new cat is around the flat near my place. (when i mean that i mean my actual home /family place) I went there to visit because apparently my family had plans with adopting a cat in their house ?? and while I was writing this, a cat was meowing nearby. My family assumes its from the top floor. We went there to check to see and there was a gorgeous Calico Bobtail. I could not believe my eyes. (I actually seen this bobtail at the lower step of my block)

But my family did not know the owner. We had to ask some people if they knew who owned the bobtail. They all don't know and assumes she was a stray who came here. We are planning to ask more people. but now shes with us. I know she doesn't like it, but can you all please tell me what to do now ? I am real confused..

Thank you for helping all these kitties and finding them homes. So do you have your own apartment now? What do you need tips on?
I have 2, one is my family's and one is my own stray cat apartment. (the reason why I needed another one was because there was alot of people in my family's apartment, and it might give the cats stress and they have people visiting their house.)

Does your family want to adopt the Calico? You could put up signs to try to find her owner, and maybe have a vet check for a microchip. But if nobody claims her, your family could adopt her.

Yes, they do. We decide to check her later for a mircochip. If she doesnt have one, We are gonna be putting signs.
We've been talking to alot of neighbors on the top floor, they all never seen nor heard of this cat.

Yep, just ask around and make sure it’s not owned by anyone. I know sometimes or quite a bit of time, owners let their cat roam feee outdoors and they only come back to eat and sleep and let out again the next morning.

So it’s good suggestions from M maggiedemi .

I checked this morning and the cat was still there. We asked a lot of people but they all assume someone moved out and dumped the cat (which is not a good thing to do) Today we checked at all the places that we putted the signs, but no one called us at all, it seems like the owner couldn't take care of it.

We're gonna go to a vet with her to see if she has a micro chip. If not, we are gonna be neuter/spaying her.

I haven't said this yet, but once I was with my friend and We spotted a cat at the park. We had cat food on hand, but this cat wouldn't eat it. [1ST CHOICE - CAT ADULT FINICKY, CHICKEN 2.72kg]1st Choice Dry Food. My friend assumes the cat likes wet food, but when we gave him wet food, he did not eat it either. We both assume he had a lost of appetite due to Illness or Anxiety. Any tips now?

That is the problem with such people as they move, they leave the cats behind and that’s how the stray population gets bigger. There are many irresponsible owners around.

If there’s no one claiming her, guess you can carry on taking her to the vet and do the necessary and keep her.
Looks like she has chosen you as of all houses, she appears at your doorstep.

It’s hard to say why the cat turn up it’s nose when offered food. It could be the flavor or taste and it could be full atbyhe time you feed him or it could really be sick at that time or he is not used to your presence and therefore he’s not eating.

Please observe for awhile and see if he’ll take food from you and also pay attention to his movements and see if he’s sickly looking.

Wet food with tuna flavor could entice him to eat. But if a cat is really hungry, I guess any flavor will do. So for this particular cat, just keep an eye on him.

Hi. Were you able to get the cat in the park to eat? He might be sick or have a hairball. Or maybe he already ate, like maybe he just caught a mouse?

Yes.. but he only likes it when i give it to him by bag, or by can. He does not like it in a container or a bowl.

She is fine but has no microchip.. These owners just might have no time or they didnt think of getting it. She is now fine and now for neutering/spaying. I might keep her :lovecat:

Yes, as what M maggiedemi suggested, use a plate, a low lipped plate will be good. This way it won’t cause whiskers stress.

Also if you can, try not to use plastic plates. Use a stainless steel plate or ceramic or porcelain plate.
Plastics harbor bacteria and that will cause feline acne.

Good to hear that you plan to keep her.

Ah yes, the calico is fine, we call her Ms Pretty.

About that other cat, it seems he has been thrown out 2 weeks ago, and he wasn't comfortable in the park. He was neutered, but thrown away.. So we are gonna have him. As the time as I am writing this, he has been checked for microchip and he didnt have one. His breed was pretty, it wasnt the usual breed u see (like tabbys and stuff) It was a fluffy Ragdoll. His paws were like snow. We once caught him in the sink, cuddled like a ball. He's goofy and cute, and we cannot throw him away. His name is Echo. We love his grey fluffy snout.

We have been rescuing lots of strays and abandoned cats.. But most strays are tabbys, but alot of abandoned cats we see and rescue have been exotic breeds. From Singapuras to Siberians. Where we find them is a secret, but it far from the place that we find strays. I guess cat owners either had no money to keep them or had no time to play with them..

We also have been getting cats new owners. Breadloaf is now with someone else. We usually keep strays for a week or months, after their healthy. Shrimp will still be with me as he is healthy, and he should have a owner too. We also do not want to just have exotic breeds in our apartment, we want to help strays too.

Any tips on helping these exotic breeds? because I never seen these breeds since i was a child. My dad had owned tabbies and exotic breeds, but i never was allowed to be able to seen them because my dad would either be taking them to the vet or taking me to places. And I couldn't recall anything just that I know they were exotic breeds.

Here’s article on grooming:-
7 Reasons Why You Really Should Groom Your Cat Regularly

As for the other stuffs, they are basically the same for all cats.
Thanks, We have been getting furballs everywhere. We have been grooming them but Echo doesn't like it. He would usually run away everytime we touch him with that brush. Is there a reason why cats sometimes don't like grooming? We've always groom cats when their sleeping, or after play time. We clip their nails too. Echo just doesn't like that brush on his fur.
