Hey, she has baby number 3 at 1.41, followed by baby number 4 who she moved away from in the sac, so we sorted the sac and cut the cord, took a few minuets for baby number 4 to breathe, but he did after wrapping him in a towel, facing him down and rubbing his teeny tiny back.
They’ve all latched although they seem to be fighting over one nipple? But they are lovely!
Thankyou all so much for everything!!
2 more questions!
Is their a way I can her her and her baby’s out from under my bed? As their is no space because of the cot ect in my room to set up home for her!
Also, how long till she can be spayed? Thankyou!!

So she was in labor, as I suspected, and no vet help needed.

I would leave her where she is for a day or two at least. Where would you prefer that she be?

You can also help guide the kittens to nipples if need be. With only 4 kittens, there should be no trouble with each one getting to a nipple.

Mom is spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old. Kittens can also be fixed once they reach 8 weeks/2 pounds.

Glad it all went well!

Oh my! Please start a thread about the kittens so we can watch as they grow! Then if you run into any questions you'll have a thread to go to without having to start all over. Please!:hyper:

Ok, I'm not that experienced and this is cat and kitten. Would it be better to just keep it this thread? This is to those who have more experience and know what works best.

Gosh, you answered so fast!! I wasn't thinking about this forum including kitten care, I was thinking just pregnancy. A brand new thread would be cute, but maybe not best. As long as we get to watch those precious babies!!;)

Yep, I had a little voice telling me to ask first! Yes, not having multiple threads to worry about does keep it easier. Sorry!
Well, the idea was to let you know we would like to stick with you through the journey. Questions, stories, pictures, etc, Please!

Haha okay! Of course :)
She had a wee& a poo last night and a little explore. She’s doing fab& they’re gorgeous.
We’re changing blankets over today (had to wash some ready for her that are currently in the dryer, so will give them her once they’re dry! And wash the one they’re on.
But she’s happy and eating as are the babies!!
Will be re-weighed later when I’m changing blankets.
The one staying with us is the tabby called Mouse.
The other 2 are going to my Mums (one will hopefully be a boy& Called Rege).
And the other little love is going to my brothers(when they’re all big enough!) I’ve booked Tilly in the vets to be spayed in 8 weeks time. And they are all absolutely lovely.
She’s had a clean, however the ‘birth’ smell is lingering. But they’re so scrummy.❤

It warms my heart that they have wonderful homes already set up. These are very lucky kitties! What about mommy?

Please keep the kittens with mom until they are at least 12 weeks old. It’s also best if they are spayed/neutered before you rehome.

If you can, rehome them all into families either in pairs or where there is another cat already.

Little Tilly’s kittens are 3 weeks old now.
They are very lovely and very healthy.
Although Tilly has still got diarreah and awe full gas, if it was worms etc wouldn’t the kittens have it? And wouldn’t be gaining weight? Which they are doing just perfectly.

I wonder if she is having a reaction to an ingredient in her food. What cat food is she eating?

Beyond that, she probably needs metronidazole. It’s an antibiotic that also kills parasites. Chronic diarrhea is not normal. Please phone your vet.

She has a vet appointment Friday. (Tomorrow)
She eats feilex wet food & go cat dry, although we’ve been alternating for a weeks a time to try and find one that she settles with, (as the vet advised when she went in pregnant with diarreah) none are working.
The pro-biotic they gave hasn’t worked either. X

Sounds like a parasite of some sort. She and the kittens will need wormed regardless, almost all cats have worms- they are very common. One thing to note that I just discovered a couple months ago Sarthur2 Sarthur2 is that Metro is not recommended for pregnant or nursing cats. Not sure what it does exactly but I was researching it one day and everything said NO to pregnant or nursing animals. But my vet has prescribed it to my nursing cats before.. maybe there aren't enough studies for them to say that it for sure is safe.
