segelkatt segelkatt The chasing sounds like play. If neither cat is growling or hissing then at worst it's an annoyance to Chamouti, at best he's having fun too.

I think the whole bit of cats cuddling together is half myth, half cats that have been together since kittenhood. There's always going to be exceptions but adult cats that have been brought in at separate times will bond but not to the point of snuggling.

The small pay increase probably bumped you up a tax bracket. We had that happen to us last year.
This reminds me of something that happened to me years ago while I worked for a large medical lab. They FINALLY gave us a raise...a whopping $.25 an hour. About 3 weeks later, an HR rep came from the home office to do a (propoganda) meeting, and mentioned that he was sure we were pleased to get a raise. I raised my hand, and when acknowledged, asked if I could give my raise back. He looked startled, and asked why. I explained that the 25 cents an hour threw me into a higher withholding bracket, but didn't cover the additional taxes, and my check was actually a bit over $10 less every two weeks. He asked if that had happened with anyone else, and SIX hands went up. He went back to the home office, and we actually got an additional 75 cents per hour. First time EVER!

Now the question on my mind is since natural gas burns at a temperature of 3500 degrees, then how can you cook things needing a much lower temperature and your water heater doesn't flash to steam?
:spew: This is exactly the kind of question that I used to ask my ex. After waking him up at three in the morning. I would then roll over, go back to sleep, and leave him wide awake, pondering...

I knew Sprite would pull through! That's it baby girl, fight fight fight! :cheerleader::cheerleader::cheerleader:
So far, so good! We will have the MRI tests back next week, and know for sure, but she is doing better by the day, so I am very hopeful!

hey all love me, they just don't hang out together. I have had cats who slept together like a big bunch of fur with no telling what part belonged to which cat. This bunch are a bunch of loners.
That's actually pretty typical of cats. Many are loners, it seems to be in their nature to some degree or another. Peaceful co-existance is far more common that cuddlepile loveins.

Oh wow, FB comes up with some interesting cat videos.
:flail::crackup::flail::crackup: You should HEAR Hekitty snore! I thought my AC was going out one night till I tracked the sound down! Kittysnores!

I'm probably about to start a firestorm that the mods are going to be tearing their hair out over, but hopefully it doesn't get that bad. Sorry in advance mods.

Everything I see in stores to buy says "Non GMO". What if I want to buy GMO food? Where do I find that? If they can insert a bit of genetic coding that makes the plant need less water, then less precious water is being sprayed in farmers' fields. If they can insert a bit of genetic coding that makes the plant more resistant to common pests, then there's less pesticides being used. If they can insert a bit of code that makes the plant produce protein or more nutritious in other ways, that's more nutrition in my body. And if buying this stuff makes the seeds cheaply available to Third World farmers who don't have enough water, no access to pesticides to save most of the crops, and not enough crops to prevent malnutrition, then I don't mind my grocery money going to Monsanto so people in need get these seeds.

Lari: comes home exhausted at 1am
Lelia: "playtime!"
Lari: "hey, can we skip tonight? Here's some wet food."
Lelia: takes two bites and then follows Lari into bathroom. "Hey, you forgot playtime. Play play play."

Guess who now has the cat catcher in her hand? :dizzycat:

You can always move it to IMO if it gets wild :D.

Most things labeled as non-GMO aren't GMO crops anyway (like how most things labeled "gluten-free" naturally don't have gluten). So it's just a silly little advertising word they like to use. Most corn and soy products are GMO.

Corn, tomatoes, cats, dogs, fancy goldfish....I don't know, seems like Mother Nature doesn't mind our tinkering.
I was about to say that. Corn alone is a man-made freak.

I used to be against GMOs until I learned that it's the way insulin is made. Before that, there was only pig insulin, and diabetics stood a chance of suffering a reaction.

Eh, for me it depends on what the genetic modification is, ya know? Like Roundup-ready. OK, that encourages more pesticide use, but there are definitely worse pesticides than Roundup. So fine. But I'm a little suspicious about cutworm-resistant. It explodes the cutworms' stomachs. I'm sort of worried that maybe that might not be so great for the digestive systems of other kinds of critters, including humans. Idk. Just seems a little iffy there.

I'm confused about where to send my state tax return. The H&R Block tax software says to mail the return to PO Box 1234. But the payment voucher says to send the voucher part to PO Box 1244:headscratch::confused2:

I looked at last year's return done on TurboTax and it says to mail both the return and payment voucher to PO Box 1234.

To make it even more confusing, the state DOR web site says to send returns and payment vouchers printed from a tax software to PO Box 1234. The general state web site says returns to PO Box 1238 and payment vouchers to PO Box 1244 :frustrated::gaah:

So... do I send both parts to PO Box 1234 like I have always done? Or do both need to be sent to different PO Boxes?
