Wow, that's huge... only wild cats could take them on? Talking of wild cats I want a real bob cat, and a savannah
Careful what you wants.
If we each named a fruit that best describes our cat......
The fruit that best describes mine is a chainsaw.

Mayday mayday mayday... a fox has been heard... bubbles has gone out before I heard it... he obviously did...

Ideas on how to stop him.... too late just heard a cat/fox fight

Bubbles is home now

My main concern with this would be rabies. Foxes are notorious carriers. All it would take is one bite during a fight.

Have you discussed his territorial aggression with the vet? Although I can’t quite blame him for protecting his territory, he will only continue to be lucky for so long if he seeks out these fights like it appears he does based on his dislike for fox sounds.

If the vet cannot be of help, possibly asking for help from a behaviorist could be an option. If this is not possible, limiting his outdoor times or even keeping him on a long lead that does not allow him to go over the fence or out of view may be an option.

Yeah, I live in the uk... rabies free here.

He only chases foxes once every 6 weeks or so it's only when they scream

Oh I did miss the UK part somehow. That was I get for reading while going through an insomniac episode. Lucky beggars with your no rabies.

I would still be nervous of him getting hurt, but I’m also a worrier to the point of overprotective ness at times. Is there a time of day that the foxes seem more active in your area? Like at dusk or morning? If there is, possibly keeping Bubbles inside or at least contained to the yard during that time could lessen the chances of him hearing one and seeking it out. I know around her foxes are much like cats that they’re active in early morning and dusk (I usually always see them at dusk), but obviously that could e slightly different in your experience.

Bubbles only goes after them when they scream... this is normally after 10pm. Foxes live and are active from dawn til dusk... or the other way around... they are active at night.

Luckily foxes here on my scream every 6 weeks or so.

A huge update.

Bubbles is on antidepressants.

It appears to be doing its job. There is a fox outside in our neighbours garden, bubbles is at my open window not even watching the fox. Maybe it's the "scream" of the fox.

I'm just trying to picture a cat killing a fox... and I'm laughing. I shouldn't be laughing but I am.

I found it messy... lol glad you found it funny. It took what seemed months to clean up and the smell.

It's good he didn't go after it as normal?
