Penny is between 5 and 6 months now, she really isn't an aggressive cat, but she has started this habit of biting my arm when I am awake in bed at night.

She doesn't do it any other time. She will wrap her front and back lags around my arm and attack. She's just playing, but I want to nip it in the bud. What should I do? Put her on the floor when she does it?

She still has some teeth to lose as she has double canines right now, do you think that will help when they are out. She's also getting spayed a week from today

Hi,
She might simply be bored and get you to go out of bed. What do you usually do?
As soon as she does it I would put her out the room and close the door. The idea is to let her know that biting you means no sleeping with you. I would also procure her with cat toys that she can wrestle and chew, there are even some that glow in the dark. If she does it during the day I would give her something to wrestle with and bunny quick (there are a lot of cat toys for that or plush animal is fine as long as there is no small part on it). But I would not do that at night it à already hard enough to sleep train our kittens :)

The weird thing is she does not do it after I go to sleep. Only when I am awake in bed watching TV. Shutting her out is not an option as I have 2 other cats who will beat the door down if they are locked out at night. As of now I have ben making the “ssssssss” noise (which works well for keeping her out of the Christmas tree) and pulling my arm away.

Put a litterbox in your room for the 2 other cats and shut out the kitten when she starts to bite and leave her out for the night. If you do this consistently she will figure out what biting gets her.

Although if the hissing at her is working, go for it. That's one sound that they instinctively recognize. Universal cattish for STOP THAT!
