Just to add on to jcat's reminder of the rules, in the past we have had members make the prize-winning post and they couldn't win because their post didn't fall within the rules.

I bought three Christmas gifts yesterday. Getting closer to finishing my shopping! :)

Seems like no matter how early I start holiday shopping, I'm never done. Guess that's because I enjoy it! Still looking for a stainless steel fountain for the furbabies. Saw the review here on the Pioneer Big Max, but thinking it may be too large. Anyone use the Pioneer Raindrop Fountain?

I'm thankful the wind is only 30 mph today instead of 50 like it has been. Lows in the teens tonight, time to break out the heated feeding bowls for the outside cats. The new little grey and white is getting bigger, has a fat tummy, so that is good. He has never seen snow or weather like this, he is just a little kitten, I feel sorry for him. But I can give him food, and a warm heated hut if he gets brave enough to use one. I wish the others would stop chasing him off!

I don't let Ashton sleep with me, because I'm a light sleeper and she's a i-will-lie-on-you-and-purr-like-a-lawn-mower type of sleeper, or so I suspected because I'd never actually let her sleep with me. But a few nights ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to test this theory, because maybe she is a quiet sleeper and I can snuggle with her all night long! (Like betsygee betsygee 's cats!)

Well...nop! Not only did she lie on me, she walked on my neck, rested one paw on my mouth, and leaned her head against my nose such that one of my nostrils was completely blocked. LOL! I rolled her off to the side but the purring was so loud in a quiet room that I eventually had to scoop her up and put her back into the living room. But I'm still grateful for this little episode, though. I chuckle every time I think about it. :purr:

I'm thankful that Buddy had a great poop this morning, and he doesn't sound as congested as usual. :banana1:

I'm also profoundly grateful that, by the grace of God, Buddy continues to overcome so many challenges. Yes, some days are better than others, but every day is still a blessing.

I'm happy that this will be Oscar's 14th Christmas with us. We seem to have a knack for adopting or taking in cats with significant health issues, and use up their nine lives all too soon. So this is a wonderful new experience for us to have a furry senior citizen ruling the house with an iron paw. :)

Marcy made it through her spay like a champ and she's walking around the apartment. I guess she has to make sure nothing changed while she was gone. Connor, Murphy, and Mickey are following her around like groupies. It's kind of hilarious.

Where my cats are
I got a rude awakening when our termite/pest company came (unannounced) for our annual inspection. (DH might have known.) I was up and dressed before my eyes were open.

So now Mooch is taking full advantage of some morning couch time. :cloud9: She's as good as a cup of coffee. :heartshape:

Heres now and the PM version.

That is a beautiful view! I love sunrises! I miss the beach! Maybe this summer we will be able to go on a vacation! Fingers crossed!
That's sunset btw. I also have a similar, but superior, picture I took in the South.

Bon appetit.

Philae temple. Aswan. There was also a majestic cat there; it was an amazing trip.
God bless America's...s-secular....society...?

I just learned that I got a cost of living allowance of 2%, effective December 1! Paul and Chula informed me that now I will be able to support them in the style to which they wish to become accustomed.

Of course, were I to actually spring for such nonsense, this is where they would sleep.

Wow a GREAT bike ride. It started out cloudy cold at 42 then on way back sun came out and about 46ish. Was overdressed with winter gloves lol because it doesn't take much to make my hands freezing and numb. I had to stop and get rid of the gloves. I wish I had more time to go farther-still have PTO to use up-one of these afternoons going to go to the end of this road I travel then do the loop around the bay. Today would have been perfect had I planned ahead and brought extra water with me. Love going fast!!!

I did have to move Hannah off of me after she drooled on my mouth. :barfgreen: But it was worth it. It's taken forever to get her to get along with our other cats, so it's neat having her cohabit a space peacefully with the others.
