Took Penelope to the vet today.

Turns out she has a fractured pelvis, not to worry though they heal on their own without any complications 90% of the time and the X-ray showed good healing process already.

Also had her checked for a spay scar she had one, so I’m glad we did before the other clinic who works with the shelter knocked her out again.

Suspect a bacterial infection on her skin so a Convenia shot was given (long lasting antibiotic), also gave her a steroid shot of Depromedrol, and sent was home with some Tramadol for pain.

She was really good for the Vet!

And has an appointment for a grooming later today. So she’s going to be all set!

WHOOO HOOOO! Sorry, SO sorry about the broken pelvis, but they do heal well with little to no intervention.

Going to reschedule grooming appointment
She’s fussy and done being messed with for the day and I don’t blame her.

She had a can a food and now has the bedroom to herself.

It's not unusual for convenia to make kitty really tired for 48 hours. Just wanted to give you a heads up. If she sleeps a lot the next few days it's because of the shot.
