I'm going to be "good" and get this posted before bed (since it's after midnight ;) )!

If 5-year-old you suddenly found yourself in your current body; what would 5-year-old you do first?

I would probably be scared and look for my Mom. Or I'd just do what I do now and do away with bedtimes! ;)

I'd be amazed at the maturity of my body, but would be sad that I couldn't run, bike and do all the fun things I wanted to do.

...with the cats...
with a 5 year old's mentality, i'd be scared. given time to do some (child's) thinking, i hope i'd realize that i'm much better off and much happier as an adult than i was as a child. but how can a child grasp things like budgeting and having good financial 'footing'? i know i'd love my three cats!!! :catrub:

Well, I was in the hospital throughout my 5 year old year - I think I might have actually been content at being older looking

A common feature of long term sick kids is that they usually mentally age quickly, so when I was around 5 I was already around 10-13 years old in the head, and when I was 11 years old (Where I had surgery #5) my child psychologists said I was emotionally and mentally 21 years old. And I really did sound and act like an adult. I still had moments of being like a kid of course, but otherwise I was already a big ol' fart.

Which is great and all! But the problem was I would get SOOO frustrated outside the hospital world, because I wanted to be taken seriously about a lot of things but many people still treated me like a little kid, worse being underestimated.

Even when I was in the hospital, and new nurse interns tried to be all cute and gaga, I would be sassy and sarcastic with a annoyed response.

*Me covered in 5 catheters and IV's after kidney surgery*
Nurses: Aawww, helloo there Cowa dear, can you tell everyone what is wrong with you like a big girl?
Me: I broke my leg. o_O

So, inbetween all my long hospital visits, my five year old self in an adult body might go off and do some adulty things like continue to join welfare groups and attend their meetings  this time hopefully my research and ideas wouldn't be interrupted!

Not much would change with the migraines. I've had those since I was 3. But my hair was long and black. I would be upset with all the grey if I had it then.

I would freak out and cry then after I regained my composure I would climb the giant walnut tree in my back yard that I was too short to reach at 5.

Eat all the chocolate I want since I'd be tall enough to reach it.
