I have a cat who is probably still pregnant, she gave birth to only 3 kittens on the 18th at 12:37am and I rubbed her belly and I can still feel something in there. Sh doesn't want to eat not drink on her own!! She did walk away from her liter twice but came back she nurses them and cuddles with them. But she is still trying to push I don't know what kind of bred she is because she was a gift. And I don't know what else to do.. can someone please help me please.. someone one told me that they can take up to 72 hours to finally give birth!!

Hi Linda, sorry I can't be of more help, but maybe if you call a 24 hour emergency vet hospital, sometimes they can help you over the phone. I am not sure where you live, but in south Florida where I live, we have a couple in my immediate area. Sometimes they will answer a question over the phone, but honestly, it sounds like you might want to take her to the vet, first thing in the a.m. This is not something to guess about. I know money is tight, but that is what I would do.

Its true sometimes they may have days between deliveries. But they shall mot have long labor without results. I hope she has some afterpains that is normal. But pushings and having something left. A vet check os best second best you can talk it with vet on phone. Vet knows what questions to give.

You must get a feeling of how she is - ok with just some swelling vomb and some afterpains but no other problems?? if so, observe but you can take it easy. The behavior as such taking good care of infants but sometimes stretching legs is normal. OR she may have still one inside. It may wait aslong she is visibly ok no problems. But one kitten or afterbirh mothercaces stuck inside and she trying to get it out not good - alarming. Give her calcium rich food asap! And of course nourishing food. Perhaps alittle honey too

Where are you located? We can try to help find a clinic or shelter who can help. This is an emergency.

Where are you living? We can perhaps help you find some cheap vet, or at least cheap spaying clinic, as Talkingpeanut suggests too.
