A couple months ago I decided to officially start transitioning to wet food and it seems like Sheba tends to be the best value that won't break the bank. I have Amazon prime and so I can order it to arrive monthly with free shipping. The portions are really convenient for my Blair because she won't finish the full cans and so I can split up her portions and it won't dry out.
I had been using the Pate' and this past time the cuts were on sale so I decided to give them a try. I immediately have noticed now they keep begging to be fed again. Waking me up wayyyyy before their usual breakfast time, and when I get home from work they act like they are starving. On my day off it's like they wouldn't leave me alone and were only satisfied if I caved and fed them a "snack".
So I'm not sure if this means that they really really like the cuts and so they just keep wanting more, or if they don't feel as full from it?

My cats love Sheba pates and the cuts too! They may be hungrier on the cuts as they have less calories than the pates. I looked on the Chewy.com website and the roasted chicken pate is 45 kcals per serving while the savory chicken cuts is 32 kcals per serving. Hope that helps!

Keep in mind the Sheba cuts are carb heavy as most gravy wet foods tend to be - around 13% carbs. Pate is around 3% if I recall right. I love the pates! Too bad they're being phased out for the overpriced Perfect Portions :(

My cats won't eat the Sheba pates anymore now that they are in plastic. But they love the cuts.

Hmm, so if I'm trying to get my chunky Dallas to shed a couple pounds should I stick to the pate or the cuts?

Pates! Cats thrive on low carb diets. Another good low carb cheap wet food is Fancy Feast Classic (ONLY the Classic line).
