coming up this evening, i'll be making a batch of pork fried rice. a slice of banana bread for dessert.
I'm starting to eat like you are. Right now I'm snacking on (3:00 AM) some baby peeled carrots with Kraft ranch dressing and a cookie (peanut butter chocolate chip). I;m also having some tostitos with the dressing.

When I used to work I would always have a bag of baby peeled carrots to snack on. That is one habit I need to get back on.

I'm seriously considering KFC tonight. It's been years since I had it and it's been "bugging" me for a while now. It's something Rick doesn't care for and something I eat once in a blue moon.

I'm doing grilled cheese again, but only because I was given a loaf of wonderful home-made sourdough bread, and it is SCREAMING to be grilled with cheese! The cheese seems indifferent, but I think it will get excited when it actually meets the bread.

I decided to give in to a craving and have a steak & cheese sub... man, was it good!
I have not had one in about a year and a half or more... delish!!
Bread nice and soft.. cheese was goopey... yum....

I felt I deserved the entire small sub because: I was cleaning all day, and did not have anything for lunch...
so I had a very early supper/late lunch... yum!

That sounds delicious. I love cheese subs.
I hope you enjoyed it. You sure deserved it.

I've never been to KFC but I hear their chicken is good.

I didn't do it. I seriously thought about it on the way home from being with Rick's mom, but I didn't stop. I just couldn't see the calories and the fat; it's a bugger getting old and thinking that I have to be careful what I eat. Bummer.

I'm making a pot of pasta sauce and may have a small bowl of just sauce for dinner tonight. And maybe a yeast roll.

LOL, that's what I call "tomato stew" because it sounds better than "I couldn't be bothered to cook pasta."

Tonight, a salad! A lovely salad with cheese and croutons. Not too much, but enough to give the lettuce something to talk about.

We went to visit my hubby's sister over the state line today and had a big lunch so dinner was just a bowl of granola and fruit. At least there wasn't a lot of dishes to clean up. ;)

I'm still deciding, but probably spaghetti. I have some sauce thawed, and some wonderful French bread to make garlic bread with. That's a treat. Usually I just have the spaghetti by itself.

Right now I'm having a bowl of fruit I brought at the grocery store yesterday. I need to improve my diet. I don't live near a farmers market. There is one that is open on Saturday but it is too far and way to much traffic and walking.

OK...y'all are SO gonna laugh at me or go "EEEEUUUWWWWW," but I'm having hot ham and blackberry preserve sandwiches on English muffins. I tried one last night on a whole wheat tortilla that was less than satisfactory, but it was the bread that threw it off. The sweet and salty make an interesting juxtaposition. Really wakes up the taste buds.

Actually, that does sound yummy Mamanyt.

I have a wild grain rice blend cooking which I'm having with roasted carrots and a little Hatch chile pepper. If I eat like the weather is cooler, I'm sure that fall will arrive early.

Nothing special, just some pan fried salmon and cauliflower 'rice' with cheese sauce. Should be tasty. Roasted peppers with my partners portion, after I took an allergy pill so the smell doesn't make me sick. And gloves for that portion because I can't so much as touch the peppers but my partner loves them. Oh well, I shall have my revenge of sorts by having a nice pina colada smoothie for dessert since that's something my partner can't have and I love, in order to treat myself for cooking the food of death also known as peppers.

For those of you who thought "Huh...I wonder..." it actually was rather nice. Different, but in a good way, to me, at least! Tonight is spaghetti, again. I thawed a couple of bags of sauces out a few days ago and need to use the last one tonight.

I haven't a clue. I really haven't felt like cooking this week. Wednesday was sloppy Joes, Thursday was a tuna-pasta salad with a yeast roll from the freezer. Tonight? :dunno:
