The baby is a girl, I was wrong, we named her Emilia, I and the new foster guy went to the vet for the second time today and it turned out even worse than the first vet visit , she screamed a lot and could not get vaccination yet, She is already at her foster home. This is the last picture I have from her, It's a really sad day for me today, I never thought I get so attached to an animal, I truly love her and she stays in my heart forever. I will check on her in two weeks and meanwhile get news from the guy.

So it's a girl? A lot of times with ferals they will just vaccinate them when they are getting spayed, since they will be put under. Will you be taking her back when she is socialized or finding her a new home?

You have done a great thing it is far better to get friendly cats off the street. Even if not literally a street far better cats live indoors pampered by humans. You should be incredibly proud of yourself. You have done right by the kittens may you forever be in their hearts.

I agree, think hard about it. My wife didn't want more cats but I talked her into it. She was OK with it once she realized how important it was to me. She loves all four of my cats. She can't resist them.

Hi all,
I am really sad now, I told you I gave the kitten to a volunteer rescue group, the lady who is in charge asked her friend for foster, I trusted them, I found out the guy who fosters the kitten adopted previously two cats from this rescue lady, and a few days ago when I asked him on whatsapp about the kitten he told me that he did not separate the kitten from his cats, he said the kitten just hisses when seeing his cats and no serious fighting happened, I thought maybe they have experience with that and I didnt say anything, but today I found through their Facebook page that one of those cats is FIV positive , I am so shocked and so angry and so sad, I wish I never took her from university, Please if any of you have experience tell me how easily FIV is transmitted, I did not still talk to the lady because I dont even know what to tell her, she is helping a lot of animals but why she did that ...

I think it is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Can you talk to the foster guy again on WhatsApp about your concerns? Are you thinking of taking her back?

I talked to my bf and he agreed we take her in October because we go on vacation ad he is so busy until Oct., the lady however said it is too late and they cannot keep the kitten for that long for somebody, I don't know what to tell the guy, he is probably just doing what the lady tells him

Are his other cats neutered? That will help keep them from fighting. Hopefully he is being careful.

There is. There are no guarantees though. As long as the kitten is not bitten, it will not get FIV.

Can you adopt the kitten, and have a friend or relative keep it until October?

There is no vaccination against FIV in Germany. The vaccine is not approved by the authorities and therefore not on the German market because the results of the vaccine were not that positive. You better ask a a local vet or people who studied veterinary medicine / animal health not ordinary people ;)

To be more precise FIV is transmitted through the saliva of the infected cat. ( saliva goes into the bloodstream of the other cat )

i understand this would be a lot for you to take on BUT... in my opinion, trap them all trap them now. young kittens do well in shelters and are highly adoptable. soon they will be big kitties having babies. you have to think about all of these things. i wouldn't drag my feet on it i would do it asap. it sounds like you got the one adopted out wonderful job! the best thing you can do for them is get em fixed and get em homes in this early stage. maybe the man can help you in this.

I agree. The rest of this litter is still loose on the campus and needs trapping.

Hi, I have an update on the campus kittens. Emilia is doing pretty good, she gets along well with the other two cats of foster guy.
Good news is today we trapped two other of kittens and they are already at their foster home, we are in the process to trap the remaining two. All 4 will be fostered by a nice lady
