Hey all,
This is my first post around here, hoping to make a few good friends out here!

I adopted a kitten almost two months back, named her Pixie, healthy and quite playful. For sometime after adoption, I also fostered the kitten's sister along with me.

Unfortunately, my kitten had to go through something terrible as she fell out of the window while I was asleep.
She sprained her back and had become very frail after the incident. The nearest vet assured me nothing is physically wrong with her, she just needs rest and she will be back to normal.
Whilst she is still very lazy, now she has developed a very irritating trait of peeing anywhere she pleases.

Even after the fall, she never acted out and did something like this. But this is getting really out of hand now.
I've cleaned her litter box, made sure she always has access to it.

But she likes to pee on the bed where she and I sleep every night. On various occasions, I wake up drenched in her pee.
These days it's gotten to a point that I've to keep stalking her all the time to make sure if she wants to pee, I drop her in her litter box.
Even when I do so, she just guns out of the box, only for me to later find out she peed under the bed
again.
I did some reading on the internet, one probable problem was that maybe she had UTI. I got her checked up and the vet didn't report a single thing, only leading me to believe that he's not that informed about cats and their behavior.
I'm helpless please help me out.

Edit:
Her pooping schedule is on-point and she generally goes in the litter box and poops, on the other hand when I can feel that she wants to pee and I carry her to the litter box. At times she acts really strange as if I'm trying to strangle her, and runs away as soon as i put her down, other times, she just quietly goes and pees.

Hi Pixieman, I'm a new poster myself and I can say that I have had some really helpful responses already so I think you will love this site!

Poor Pixie (and you as I'm sure it was really traumatic!) has the vet reported that she has totally recovered from the spinal injury? I know that in humans sometimes a back injury can lead to incontinence, could this be the same for cats?
If its not a medical issue and the vet is confident is behavioral, have you changed her cat litter brand? I recently adopted a little kitten myself and when I filled her litter tray with the cat litter I use for my boy she was having none of it! decided her bed and blankets were the best place for number 1s and number 2s. Since finding out from the lady who was giving her away the brand she used I now have a little kitty who pees and poops where she is supposed to! Maybe the current litter is sufficient for burying poop in but isn't appealing for peeing in?

Anyway I am by no means an expert as I am new to this site and now to dealing with 2 cats at the same time, but maybe these are things that could help you and pixie in the right direction. Good luck getting the issue resolved :)

I think she probably still has some pain from the accident and feels she can't make it to the litterbox on time when she actually has to go. You might need to get more litterboxes (like one in every room) until she feels more comfortable on her feet.

I don't think that should be the issue because up until now Pixie had no issue in using that litterbox, she hasn't grown that much either, can that still be a reason?

I think she has healed but it's her spoilt habit that makes her wanna pee anywhere. Because she runs around when she wants to, climbs atop the fridge by herself.

Still I think having a litter box in every room is a good idea. I'll try that and let you know how it goes :D

It might not be, just a suggestion as I have a little one who is very litter fussy
Is she back to her normal self in all other ways since the accident? eating/playing etc like she would have before? How long ago did the fall happen?

She doesn't play as much as she used to, that's also improving. Also she was a fussy eater from the beginning, so that's kinda normal too.

it sounds like she could still be getting over pain if she is still just improving on play again since the accident. I know kittens are bouncy but did the vet even suggest any sort of pain relief? I imagine any sort of spinal injury (even a sprain) could be really painful with all the nerves surrounding it. Is it possible to get a second opinion from another vet? It seems strange that she is happy to poop in the litter box, is it that she gets more warning that she needs a number 2 and makes it in time? Hopefully the suggestion of extra litter boxes around the house works! Cats are such private animals when it comes to the bathroom I don't think she would want to willingly pee everywhere and anywhere

You will want to add more detail. Size of your place? Apartment, bungalow, large or small house... Where the litter is? Basement, laundry room,...? How many litter boxes do you have? Approx size of the litter box and type of litter you are using in it. Is the litter box covered or open top? I am guessing you only have one cat but if more than one do they share the litter?

Other things to consider would be stuff like maybe something is stressing the cat? Such as lots of noise from nearby construction, a dog that barks non stop, etc... Maybe she is getting stressed out seeing another cat on the property while looking out the window? You are coming home with the scent of a friends cat on you?

My cat Taz sprays in the house if he gets stressed out.

You should post a bit more detail and there are some good articles on here about litter boxes and litter box problems.

Oh my god this is getting on my nerves so bad.
I've put an extra litter box in the room that she pees in the most, she still chooses to pee on my god damn slippers. Please help me out, I want to keep this kitten but this is beyond acceptable.

Does she seem stressed out? I have a stress peeing kitty at home and getting rid of the stress gets rid of the peeing.
I realize she had her accident but maybe that is just coincidental and something else like stress is causing the peeing? There are so many things that can stress a cat out, loud noise is one of them. Another cat around the house, you could have a Tom cat that is spraying around the outside of your home and getting your little kitty excited.
