Hello,

Sorry in advance if I am posting this in the wrong section.

I recently adopted a kitten approx. 5-7 weeks old. She is fun, loving, and very playful. Her tail is somewhat bent right in the middle and feels as if there might be a bulge, but I am not sure. She has full control of her tail and has normal balance for her age. She seems to be fine, it doesn't seem to bother her or her functionality at all. I was wondering if this is something that should get looked at. I will probably take her to a vet anyways but would love to know if this is something very serious or not.

I have attached pictures so you guys might get an idea of what I am writing about.

P.S. I've grew up with cats my entire life, but I have not experienced something like this before.

Thanks in advance!

It looks to me like it might be broken. A trip to the vet is in order. The tail leads to the spine and is very important, and kittens tend to bang themselves up playing sometimes, but it looks like it is a break. Keep us posted.

If it's always been like that since you got her it could be she broke her tail before got her and it's healed or healing. Since she is so young I would guess she came from a bad situation? Did something happen to the mother and litter mates? If so that could help explain what happen to her as well.
