Put the feral kitten with the other semi-feral kittens, not with the tamer ones.

Is the newest feral kitten about the same size as the others? If he is much bigger he may need to be by himself for now.

I would absolutely bring all of the kittens in if the temperature is going that high. The heat will be too much for them to handle.

Awesome that their eyes are clear today!

All of these kittens are young enough to still be socialized. :vibes:That this person adopts the kittens!

Thank you again for your efforts!

Thanks! The new one is small so I will put it with the semi ferals. I will move them to the house when it gets hot. I appreciate it!

My goodness you have done an amazing job. I was afraid the shelter would tell you they never said you can bring the kittens. Oh well, socialize the kittens as much as you can . I hope the people coming tonight do adopt those two kitties. If you can't find a place for the rest of the kitties by the end of kitten season let me know, I will reach out to the woman I know in your area , I know she is full right now but, after kitten season, if they are adoptable she might take them. She is that kind of rescue person.

Go back and reread your first post. Not only have you changes the lives of these cats and kittens and are putting a stop to the cycle of breeding you're becoming a cat lady who is going to be around I hope to share this story with others who are in the WHAT THE HELL HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO stage.

Thanks for the support. It helped to hear that and to look back and see that there has been progress made.
We released momma cat #2 this morning and momma #1 and Popa cat were waiting to greet her. There are still 2 kittens out there, one of each mommas. We didn't catch anything today and now I know why. I saw momma cat eating the tuna out of the traps, she knows where to step to avoid setting them off. We will keep trying...
We still have the two tame kittens. One lady didn't show and the other said she didn't want to take on a project and didn't want any vet bills.
I bought another cage yesterday along with more supplies now that we have 7 kittens in "captivity ". They continue to hiss and spit and they are not using the litter box. I talk to them and am trying to keep their cages clean. I will have to move them inside soon as the temp is going up and the only place to put them is in the dining room. Not too appetizing ...

I agree with kittens mom kittens mom about the lady. Wonder why she even bothered to look.

I think the kittens will get more socialized inside your home. If you can try to handle them some once they are in the house it will help. They really are not too old to be tamed.

I am so impressed with all that you have accomplished so far! :)

You are doing great. You'll find homes for the kittens. About them not using the litter box....use Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract... when I have new cats here I always pour a layer of that on my regular litter (you can use it on it's own too) I do it to avoid any possible litter box problems, it really does attract cats to use their box.Not certain you can use it for kittens but check into it. I buy it here at the store because my son works there and I get 50% off, I know they sell it on amazon and it is cheaper there than in the stores. You don't have to use it forever, just until the cats are regularly using the box.

Sorry, mistake post.
I just got done tucking them in for the night and they had pooped in their bed, in their food bowl. They hiss and spit and there is one that hangs from the ceiling when I come near. I will check on that product, thanks!!

Just remember the hissing and spitting isn't personal to you or your efforts. What you are dealing with demonstrates why it's so important to get kittens away from their feral mama's as early as possible.
And all pets are projects especially baby ones.
As to the litter box that's natural and at their age should be somewhat self resolving as they get tamer. I'm guessing this soiling issue is pure stress. If you haven't along with the attract try putting some of the poop in their litter box.
The right person won't see their being a bit wild as an obstacle.

We still have 2 kittens we need to catch and we had no luck again last night. We set 3 traps and they were all open but the food was gone. We are using 2 cat traps and one kitten trap. Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks!

Do they always hide when you are in the yard? or only when you approach? I ask because, if you can stay in their proximity without them running for cover, you might try an xx large dog crate, put in the food and water and when they go in run and slam the crate. I actually caught a very cat trap savvy cat that way. It wouldn't work if they won't stay out when you are in the yard. I know it is very hot where you are, whole state is hot.Hope you and the kitties are ok.

The kittens are with the 2 momma cats and they only show up at the very end of meal time. They run when they see me or if I take a step towards them. I trapped one of the mommas in a dog crate but I'm using them to hold the other kitties. I'll have to move everyone around. I might try it though to see if the kittens will go in.
It is really hot, over 105 every day. I leave out water and change it several times a day I still have 7 inside. I have another tame kitten and I am putting medicine in his eyes. I am working with another one who is getting friendly too. All of the Sylvester black and whites are still hissy. The smallest one will not eat or move if I am in the room and he tries to bite when I clean his cage. Everyone is using the litter box though which is a plus. We've spent a lot on traps, crates, vet bills, meds, supplies so I can't buy another crate or net and I couldn't find one to borrow. Not sure how/where I can get them sterilized. A few are getting to be 2lbs +
Thanks for checking in.
