We said goodbye to our girl about 24 hours ago. So strange how fast the time has flown since then. It has mostly been spent crying, reminiscing, and looking at the million photos and videos of Bijou that we've taken over the years. :blackcat2:

It was quick and quiet and calm. Bijou was essentially already shutting down by the time the appointment rolled around, she was laying out very still and breathing slowly. Still responsive to her name and purring for brushes. Our vet was so sweet and said a prayer after Bijou passed. We were also able to spend a lot of time both before and after just saying goodbye to her and loving her. :hearthrob::hearthrob::hearthrob:

Thanks again to everyone here. Goodbye for now. :bluebutterfly:

Honey, I just want to say I'm so sorry and I know exactly what you're going through. My baby girl Lola, only seven, had to be put down yesterday after suffering from pancreatitis and I am devastated.

She was unresponsive to treatment and was deteriorating so much that the doctor said even with the best in--hospital treatments she only had a 25% chance of recovery.

I am racked with guilt over what I could/should have done better. I'm going through the grieving process too and can relate to your situation - If you need or want to talk please message me.

Much love for you and your lost baby.

Condolences to you, BijouBlackCat BijouBlackCat on the loss of your beautiful Bijou :blackcat:. :rbheart: :alright: :grouphug:
And to you P Pyreflies for losing your seven year old Lola, to this awful illness. :rbheart: :grouphug: :hugs:

The only comfort is that our cats that pass on, are no longer suffering, and are whole and well again, playing over the Bridge, or in heaven. Someday, I think we will see them all again.:touched::hugs:
:hugs:

May Bijou and Lola, be running free, and playing with the other cats, over the Bridge.:rbheart:

BijouBlackCat BijouBlackCat the team at TCS would like you to know that we're so very sorry for your loss. Bijou was very loved. :rbheart:

We close threads when a cat passes, out of respect. But there is a beautiful tribute thread BijouBlackCat has started if members would like to add to it.
