So cute! Please keep dad away from mom for now. She can get pregnant again within a week of delivery, and will be fertile for up to a month after his neuter.

I will definitely keep them apart, he is getting fixed in June 5th! If only he had gotten it done sooner (he's my boyfriend's cat and the female is my cat).

Cats can be fixed as young as 2 months, or when they weigh 2 pounds, for future reference!

One more question, maybe two lol! How long should I wait before taking her to the vet she hasn't had another kitten yet, she had the first one at 8:50am. I read that it can take anywhere from a couple hours to a couple of days! Also the kitten has been latched onto her since it was born basically does this mean it isn't getting milk? Should I bottle feed it? Also someone at the pet store told my boyfriend that I need to rub the kittens genitals with a cotton ball to help it use the bathroom, is this true or should the mother help it go?

Mom will lick the kitten to clean it and stimulate it to pee and poop.

The kitten sounds like it is nursing well. I wouldn't worry unless it's not gaining weight. Are you weighing the kitten?

You don't need to go to the vet unless your cat is in distress. That does not sound like the case right now. She'll have the next kitten when her body is ready. :)

I'm not weighing the kitten. What kind of scale should I get to weigh it?

A kitchen scale that weighs in grams. They have fairly inexpensive ones at Walmart.

She still hasn't had the kitten, I called an Emergency Vet office and they said I need to bring her in but I have read posts where people say the kitten could be born even after 24 hours... She is fine and doesn't seem to be uncomfortable she is just nursing the kitten she did have.... Should I wait any longer or should I take her? Honestly I don't have the money to go there they charge $100 just for the office visit not counting whatever they will have to do. Any advice will be much appreciated? Has this ever happened to any of you before?

Like I said in my Post #27, you need to wait since she is not in distress. Cats can have kittens days apart.

It does not sound like she is in any distress, so she will have the kitten when the kitten and her body are ready.

There are many, many cats who have kittens on different days.
