Lost Cat Athens Ga

Hello! I'm here to report a male siamese/tabby that showed up in my yard this morning. Like said before, he's a pale tabby with some siamese markings and light blue eyes. He has a bright blue collar with no tags. His eyesight also seems pretty poor.
Even though he's super friendly, he will not leave my cat, Watson, alone. It's not even that he's attacking my cat he just keeps following watson around and watson's beginning to get stressed and lash out. I do not want this cat to get hurt by my cats so please, if you are or know the owner of this cat, please message me.

Hello!

While you look for the kitty's owner, can you keep the newcomer in a spare room so your cat does not get stressed?

Can you have a vet check the cat for a microchip?

Put signs around your neighborhood as well.

Check with area cat shelters.

It sounds like he may be older if its eye sight is poor. I wonder if the poor kitty wandered off and got lost due to age and eyesight.

Sadly, we are unable to bring him into the house because he gets really freaked when I try and pick him up. I'm thinking about checking for a microchip this afternoon and I've already asked around the neighbourhood.

Are you feeding him? Will he follow you into the house with a food bowl as a lure?

That may actually work. And yes, we are feeding him currently. At first I was hesitant to start feeding him because I was hoping he'd go back home for food but I just couldn't help giving him something to eat. He's super skinny.

I hope you've been able to lure him in! It may be the best way to eventually get him to the vet for a microchip scan.

Yep! We've scheduled a appointment for him to get a microchip scan tomorrow morning.

So..No microchip, and nobody has said anything about losing him.
However, I'm beginning to think I should keep him for myself if nobody takes him. First, I'm going to bring him to our local shelter because they have a "lost and found" section.

I tend to agree with you that he's been abandoned.

That's great that you may keep him. That would just be purr-fect!

How does the "lost and found" work at the shelter? You don't have to leave him, do you?

You leave them for 3 or 4 days I believe?(Maybe even a week) and if nobody's come to reclaim them since then, you just have to fill out some paperwork and their all yours

Do you think you'll do that?
