Purchased this cat on craigslist around a year ago and did not have a straight forward answer on what breed she was. Any suggestions on what you think she might be would be appreciated.

I'm so glad that there's people out there that know cat breeds and are able to help especially on this site seeing how I had gone onto someone else site and they weren't able to tell me anything about the breed of Sparta, just wanted to talk about behavior.

How big is she?

Could there be some ragdoll in her?

She's too slender and her fur isn't long enough to be a Ragdoll. Ragdolls also don't come in that pattern. She would be a diluted tortie and tabby (torbie) Domestic Longhair.

Some ragdoll there may be, to give the point and the long fur... But not nearways purebered.

If she is smallish, another option is perhaps a somali ancestry. They arent renown to be points nor torties, but body shape and fur lengh would be OK.

But without proofs nor history, she will always count as a domestic longhair - with said description of diluted torbie point and white.

Now, without proofs or known background, a cat will always be a domestic.

What we can discuss is if there is some similiarity or look alikeness to an established breed. Its a nice pastime, and sometimes we can even rule out a supposed domestic must be a purebred, even if unregistered.

This is a pleasure - its alike in the sagas, where the orphan gets knowledge of its true parentage... :)

We are helped in much by the title of this Forum: What is my cat look alike?

Several years ago, when the title was: What is the breed, it was more difficult to have such talks and reasonings...
