Little Sawyer snuggling with his new friends! I am in kitten heaven.
Miss Olivia's kittens are officially out of their nest now. They tried to leave last week but I pushed the opening of the nest up against the bed to calm Olivia down and keep them in there a little longer. Well they just weren't having that anymore lol. So they are now exploring their kitten proofed bedroom. A whole new world.
Also the 6 week old kittens are just now learning the litter box... I forgot how much fun (not) that is. lol. One pooped right behind the door, so when I opened it it smeared all over the carpet. Sigh.

WWWWWWW! I adore Sawyer. Well, they're all cute as bugs, but little Sawyer has been through the mills, and is now looking so fine and fancy and HAPPY!

Man, your new mama is enormous! Yes, she's a torbie. Would you ever consider calling her "Blake," which can be a boy OR a girl name, because of William Blake's poem that says, "Tiger, tiger burning bright"? And the kittens could be named for poets (and if there is one VERY silly one, it could be either "Ogden" or "Nash."
I might... I am still debating her name... I kind of want to see how many kittens she has before I pick a naming theme... Although I was leaning towards doing planets... Someone had mentioned that back when I was trying to pick London's name and I liked it.

I love your suggestion of using the names of poets!

Sawyer looks like he is in heaven! So do the other kittens. They will catch on to the litter box soon. Put doggie pee pads around the boxes for now.

We'd love to see more pictures of Olivia's kittens too! :lovecat2:

Woke up to our new momma in labor! She has had 5! Not sure if she is done or not... 4 are latched and nursing, the 5th is still trying to latch and crying. I tried to help guide it to a nipple but it can't seem to find it. He's spunky though. I'm not too worried yet, I think he was the last born because he still had his placenta attached when I found them. I'm watching all of them, hopefully he finds a nipple on his own!

She seems to be done, although I learned with Sadie that that doesn't mean much! lol. Easter kittens! Now I am thinking eastery names might be appropriate... idk. Looks like 2 orange, one black, and two torties possibly? Its so dark in there lol. I think I will take Sadie's nesting box and clean it out and bring it in for her since Sadie doesn't really use/need it anymore.

Aww, Easter babies! :bunny:

I think mom felt safe enough to have her babies! You got her just in time!

Yes, move the nesting box in, and make sure #5 is latching.

Offer mom a dish of KMR in the nest.

Let us know weights when you get a chance.

Everyone has latched! Just moved them all into the bigger actual nesting box. I am going to leave them be for a minute while momma get settled back in in the new box, then I will take her some KMR and take in the scale and try to get some weights!

Pictures! The two I thought were torties I think are really dark tabbies! I apparently didn't get a picture of the other orange one but here is what we have!
Weights!
1-125
2-105
3-120
4-123
5-120

number 2 is the black one, he/she has been latched so I will just keep an eye on him!

Olivia's Kittens Look like teddy bears <3 Love them. They are so photogenic. I have never had kittens hold still and look at the camera as much as they do!

kashmir64 kashmir64 Not really a trick, I just have taken pictures of TONS of kittens lol if you make silly noises they usually stop what they are doing and look up at you- but Olivia's litter just stops what they are doing and looks at me all of the time lol they are adorable!

I make funny noises and they come running. Then use me as a climbing tree. Which usually ends up with me yelling Ouch and lots of blood (mine).

OK...let me see if I can do this in order.

The new litter is adorable. Of course, they're kittens, so there is a certain amount of adorable that goes without saying.

Olivia's kittens are TO DIE FOR! You did a wonderful job with the photographs!

PM ME WITH ORDERING INFO FOR THE TEE SHIRTS!!!
