I hate to see the mama dog and puppies separated at just 5 weeks. [emoji]128546[/emoji]

Let's see how far along the new pregnant cat is. If she's too far along, I would not switch rooms until she has her babies. That way the others can continue to enjoy their privacy for now since kittens are involved.

Is London getting to walk around outside the cage a little?

I know, me too! They would be going to a dog specific rescue, so I am not sure if they have a momma dog to bond them to. (Honestly I am not even sure if they know for sure that they are 5 weeks old, they look older to me in the picture and the owners seem so clueless they might be older). London does get out of the cage, but she mostly just wants me to hold her when she is out lol. She is so sweet.

Also another thing I did not put in the update. We are getting a senior dog to foster as well, we are getting her from a shelter in the southern part of the state. She was found about a year ago, it looks like she had been hit by a car and sustained a hip injury which has healed. She is estimated to be 10 years old and is a shepherd/husky mix. They said she is great with cats and other dogs and is very calm. So you may see some pictures of her thrown in here as well! We don't take on dogs very often because we don't have the room or time, but she touched my heart, we are excited to get her!

the dog sounds lovely. Maybe the kittens will get used to dogs with this senior baby around. And always good to have an extra set of ears in the house..the dog can alert you if something is going on with the cats or people.

I have two dogs of my own so the kittens are raised around dogs anyway :) We are excited/anxious to get her! I got pictures this morning. I will post soon! Everyone is growing up so fast!
London has been acting a little strange this morning... maybe today is the day? VERY needy when I came in to feed. Normally she meows until I feed her then she stops and eats. I fed her and Olivia then went to take pictures of Olivia's kittens and London went crazy- yelling at me to pay attention to her. So I let Olivia finish eating and I let her out. I sat with her for a bit but I am going to leave her alone in the room out of the cage for a bit.

I read about the senior dog on your FB page. Poor boy - so glad you are taking him.

Keep us posted on London! [emoji]128571[/emoji]

Ok! So the pregnant grey tabby we got in to another rescue group! So I don't need to frantically find a place to put her here! London we might place into foster care earlier than planned, just because I hate seeing her in that cage and I think her being in the room is stressing Olivia out. We'll see. Other than being excessively needy, no other changes.

How about moving London into Sabrina and Sadie's room? It will give Olivia privacy and perhaps the sisters won't mind. They seem to be pretty mellow.

We decided to go ahead and take London to the foster. They were super excited to have her and they had more time to give her lovings which she really wanted. They are fully supplied with Purina One Kitten Chow, a dose of Advantage II to give her when she needs it again, KMR, syringes, a kitchen scale, nesting box and blankets. They know to weigh the kittens daily when she has them, I told them how to feed the kittens if needed. She looked really happy to be out of her cage for good! This opens up a space for another pregnant cat or cat with kittens! (we are contacted about so many).

Sounds like she'll be happier there. I thought you were already out of rooms anyway!

Always! lol! I have some room out in my main living area- for weaned kittens or adult cats. I just don't have rooms to separate out cats. But now I do have the large crate as a back up if I need it!

It really makes me happy to think of London being out and about and getting lots of love and cuddles.  I bet she blossoms!  You do such an incredible job with all of them, but your time is so stretched to the limit!  Bless you!

Ok! I can finally post an update on here now! Everyone is doing great! Olivia's babies are starting to crawl out of the nest, Sawyer- Sadie's remaining baby is starting to eat kitten food! We are getting our foster dog tomorrow... we were planning on pulling two already spayed cats from this shelter too but they actually told us that they were contacted TODAY about a grey and white pregnant cat. I told them that if they can get her (AND NOT VACCINATE HER) before transport leaves with the dog then I will take her and only one of the other cats I was going to take. We'll see... I was late responding so they might not be able to get her tomorrow morning... It looks like she is outside now.

Ok so just got a message back from her. We will be getting the black and white cat who was spayed while pregnant from them today and then in a couple of days we will get the other spayed cat we were planning on getting from them and the grey and white mom-- she has already had her kittens... they are a week old, there are 4!
