She is doing fine, she is resting. I have her in a large carrier right now, the vet thought it would be a good idea to separate her from Sadie for a little bit while she recovers.

My heart is just breaking for you and, of course,  Sabrina.  Someone (and my brain has gone quite dead here) mentioned asking about newborn kittens who need a mama.  Is she in any shape for that?   It would do her a world of good to have babies to nurture.

I have let other rescue groups and my vet know if they are contacted about any orphaned kittens to let me know!

Great news! @AndysMom  (for those of you forget she adopted Momma Andy- the original cat this thread was started for) is interested in adopting one of our many kittens whenever they are old enough!

I hope Sabrina is okay now, a singleton litter kitten can be hard to birth, my mom midwifed one from my childhood favourite cat a tortie named Wylie.( cat actually pushed her feet on my mom's hands).
Sorry that happened.
The other babies are sweet thanks for the tails
Hugs for you and pets for the catmoms!
Also I did find a stray and lure him with food once when I knew there was a shelter spot he headlike your an odd face with interesting eyes but had ick fur.
We kept visiting him and he looked like your black foster! Flea allergies had been the problem with fur and he became a glossy beauty and found a new home.

How is Sabrina doing this morning? Is she ready to come out of her crate?

How are Sadie and Olivia?

I let Sabrina out of her crate last night before bed, they had also given her an enema (spelling?) yesterday so there was poop EVERYWHERE- I am glad I had left her in the crate for a few hours after we got home so she didn't do that on my bed lol. I woke up early this morning because I heard purring, I looked down beside the bed where the nesting box is and there was Sabrina snuggled in with Sadie's kittens. Sadie was actually up on the bed with me but hopped down in with Sadie and her kits when I started petting them. I haven't seen Sabrina trying to nurse them, but it wouldn't surprise me. This morning when I topped off the dry kitten food and put out some wet Sabrina ate A LOT. Which was a relief to see, because I haven't been seeing her eat much and she is so skinny. Sadie's babies are doing great! I try to get pictures of them but they are so wiggly at this stage. I believe two are girls, and the one with the white spots is a boy! The boy is the most active and the chunkiest right now. Olivia and her babies are doing great! I can't believe how big they are compared to Sadie's when they were this age! I will post some weights later!

Aww, what a cute picture!

I am so glad to hear that Sabrina is better. Bless her heart for all that she has been through. I have to wonder if she had been feeling sick since she was vaccinated while pregnant. Clearly things weren't right.

It would be purr-fectly fine if she were to nurse her sister's babies!

Glad Olivia and her crew are doing well too. I'm anxious to see weights on them!

How's it going with getting the dilute tortie?

I believe we are meeting with a volunteer to get the dilute tortie tomorrow evening! We are getting prepared for her now and arranging to go pick up the extra large dog crate!

Gonna be crazy busy at your house!  If I lived a bit closer, I'd be volunteering to help, but NC is just too far to hitchhike for a woman with a walker and an irate tortie in a carrier!

The little boy is the first one trying to crawl out of the nest!

This is how Olivia's babies were sleeping when I came in to clean up and change the nest bedding. I was really worried at first, but they are just sleeping in silly positions .

This is food that Olivia spilled in the nest- hence why I had to change the bedding lol.

All cleaned up!

Yesss! Very busy! Luckily we have a foster for the new mom after she has her kits! I plan to keep them for a week so that I can monitor them closely and make sure everyone is gaining- especially after all of this with Sadie and Sabrina.

We need a name for the Dilute Tortie! Suggestions? Since you guys have been so helpful! I usually like to theme name my litters of kittens- the mom's name can be related as well. Like Andy and the toy story names I did before. Olivia's litter names are going to be based off of Law and Order SVU.

We have been having absolutely the worst weekend here. After going through all of that with Sabrina's kittens, my own cat Sarge just passed away in my arms tonight. He seemed fine, I was in the room with Olivia and Kyle came in and told me Sarge was throwing up. I came out and he was just laying in his vomit. I scooped him up and it looked like he had a seizure and he passed. I know this isn't the place to put this and I will post in the appropriate section his memorial, but if everyone could just go hug their cats one extra time for Sarge. I am so upset.

I'm so sorry! Was he sick? Is he old? Did you have any clue? How sad!

No, he was only two years old. It is so sudden. He was fine this morning, sleeping a lot this afternoon, but that is typical for him. Guess we will never know...
