Ok so this cute little kitten showed up at my workplace last week, cant be more than a couple of months old.
Shes very playful, doesnt show any signs of aggression whatsoever no hissing nothing. Even when threatened she hides if she can, if someone holds her down she tries to escape but if u hold her she sits there and waits till u lwt go. Shes a real sweetheart
Ive been feeding her every day. Can of tuna, meat, etc..
Everyday i arrive at work and call her name and shed come running down the stairs to me, i pet and feed her and she follows me around.
After the weekend, i couldnt find her.. then i called for her and it took her much longer than usual then i heard her meow and she showed up. But she was a total mess!
Her back leg is broken, she doesnt let it touch the ground. Shes limping and whenever shes walking her whole body is lifted up (the way a cat lifts it when fighting) however she is still showing 0% aggression. But shes meowing nonstopa and loud. Thats new as well
Her body is shivering, shes much skinnier too
Can anyone please tell me what's wrong with her. I fed her and she ate like she hadnt eaten in years. But everyone is scared to come near her and saying she probably has a disease but i love her so much
I was thinking of getting her vaccinated and cleaned then taking her home. But now im worried she might be sick. Besides, she is very dirty and i always pet and pick her up. Will i get infected? Thanks in advance

This sounds more like an injury to  me.  There are very few diseases that cats get that are transmittable to humans, I think rabies is the main one.  Parasites are transmittable but fleas won't stay on people and the intestinal ones aren't with some common sense precaution.  This kitten does need help.  If you can do it that would be great if not a rescue should be contacted.

From what you describe it seems likely she was hit by a car which broke her leg. Other injuries are also possible.

You wrote "After the weekend, i couldnt find her" Was that last weekend? If she was hiding somewhere, broken leg, in pain, and it's been a week no wonder she is hungry.

First thing is get her to a competent veterinarian who can assess her injuries and give her the necessary care.

I understand she is not your cat and you may not feel responsible for her. Take her to an animal control shelter and it is highly likely this sweet cat would be euthanized.

Not an easy decision to face. She sounds like a sweet cat. Clearly she trusts you. What are you going to do?

Tell us where you are and perhaps one of our members can offer suggestions for a rescue that can help this sweet orange tabby cat. Meanwhile, can you take her home, isolate her in a bathroom with a litter pan, a cardboard box turned on its side with a soft towel to rest on, some canned food and clean water, while you ask around and decide what to do.

Do come back and tell us what is happening. Powerful good wishes coming your way for a happy outcome.

Getting her to a vet and bringing her home would be the very best thing to do. It sounds like you have adopted one another!

Thanks, however i live in Egypt so its very unlikely to find members willing to help let alone a rescue.
Im most likely going to adopt her, just after getting her vaccinated, bathed, cut her nails, and so on.. making sure shes absolutely clean & healthy
I cant make the decision to get her euthenized. I wont kill her shes such a good little cat

Im not sure she was only hit by a car tho, her breathing is also faster than usual. I havent seen herfor just the weekend (2 days)
And she lays there quietly but whenever anyone passes by she keeps meowing constantly as if shes asking for something and as soon as theyr gone she stops. But i dont know what she wants, when she does that i sit and look into her face and pet her head and chin and she just closes her eyes and enjoys for as long as i keep doing it. Sometimes she even falls asleep.

This kitten doesnt seem to know that fighting is an option she has, she DOES NOT defend herself in any way or form. Does not bite, scratch, hiss, or anything at all. Im guessing she was abandoned before having the chance to learn anything at all.

We are a forum with members all over the world. So yes, there are likely to be members who live in Egypt who can offer advice and suggestions.

She may be crying when people are near because she is asking for help. Her broken leg is much more important than getting her nails clipped. But Do Not give her any human pain medicine as they are not safe for cats.

Bring her home, set her up with a safe place, and begin asking friends and family with pet cats who is their veterinarian, do they recommend that one. Food, water, safety, and veterinarian care are most important.

If her dirty fur distresses you so much, take a damp cloth and gently wipe her. But stay away from wiping the damaged leg and do not turn her over which could hurt her leg. Bathing her with a broken leg would be agonizing.

And a name . . . What will you call her?

I agree. She is asking for help because she is injured and in pain.

That broken leg needs to be set and she needs to be checked for internal bleeding or other injuries you can't see.  Are there emergency vet clinics in Egypt that are open on Sunday (or is it even Sunday in Egypt?)  The question is - How soon will a veterinarian's office be open to you?

With a broken leg, she is definitely in pain.  Cats don't show pain, but they do feel it.  Like others said, put her in a carrier with some food/water or other small place where she can rest and not further injure herself until you can get her some medical treatment.  If you are not planning to keep her for yourself now, then make some phone calls to friends and see if someone you know will take care of her veterinary treatment.

I called her Peaches as soon as I saw her, automatically because of her color haha
Ok tomorrow morning im going to get a damp cloth and clean her. Everywhere except the wound. Whenever im petting her, when i touch her broken leg she meows right away so i stop but she doesnt move away or anything she just tells me not to.
Then ill make sure she eats well and drink lots of water. But i wont be able to take her tomorrow tho. Ill make sure to keep enough food and water for the night and hopefully the day after im going to take her to the vet and home.

I hope she doesnt have fleas or ticks and no diseases.. and im really hoping when i call her name tomorrow ill find her running down the stairs excited and eager to see me as always

Ps. A couple of times she made a very weird noise, once someone closed the door without noticing shes there, shes very tiny, so the door closed on her throat and she made a very short but strange noise. Also someone else stepped on her by mistake and she made the same noise.
And once i was playing with her so i was holding her neck but i kinda choked her unintentionally and she made the noise too so i let go right away and she just kept licking her mouth and sar there.. its like a very brief kind of like a sneeze-ish noise if that makes sense, is that normal?

(Im sorry ive never owned a cat before, but i love them a lot)

Im sure they are but i cant leave work before 7 or 8 pm tho and tomorrow (in a few hours actually) im going to work and straight from there to do a couple of things so i wont be able to take her today.
Should i leave anything else besides food & water for the night?

If there is any way that you can get her to safety today, I would.

Some cat litter.

You are able to keep her inside where you work for the night? Or take her home with you and keep her inside?  She does not need to spend the night outside since she is injured.  She would be vulnerable to being attacked by another animal since she is already hurt.

Its a building with a gate and shes the only animal there but yea a cat can easily sneak in and hurt her since shes hurt and young. I could pass by the gate at night and call her name till she comes from under the door

Are you sure you cannot take into your home tonight, or find a friend who would keep her inside their home for one night until you get her to a vet?

Better / kinder if she can be taken somewhere safe overnight until you can take her to a veterinarian instead of asking her to crawl under a gate / door with a broken leg to get to you.

I don't think that she's infected, it's more like someone has attacked her and she's dealing with some injuries right now. Cats usually cry/meow whenever they are hurt, the best thing that you can do now is to take her to the nearest animal clinic. From there they will clean her and apply necessary medicine including vaccination. You can either choose to provide this kitten a new home or drive her safely to the nearest animal center. But just like the rest of the community, I am honestly hoping that you will take her home with you, as I can see the attachment and love that you have for this animal.

Blessings for your kind deeds! If you can't find a shallow litter tray & cat litter, you can give her puppy pads in a small area of her enclosure, for her to use as a toilet (or adult bedpads, if you know someone who is a caretaker). Also, keeping her hydrated with electrolyte solution is very important - if you can't access unflavored Pedialyte, you can make a homemade version of 1 cup clean water with 1 tsp sugar and a pinch of salt (preferably whole salt, such as Himalaya or unrefined sea salt) and a pinch of baking soda (a pinch is approximately 1/8 teaspoon). If she doesn't drink freely, give her the solution either by a spoon (a small amount at a time) or with an eye dropper - it will help her body deal with the shock of the trauma and the pain. If you can, put her in a cat carrier or other small enclosure so she can't wander and irritate her injuries even more. IF she won't accept being confined, don't worry about it - getting her safely inside is the most important thing. And thank you for the pictures - she is adorable.....And welcome to TCS!

Peaches is lovely I hope the vet can help with the leg! Years ago I had a cat who had a steel pin in his to set the break!
So gald she is going home with you.
Good luck!
I researched vets in egypt online for someone on the cat site from canada once. They ( a large chain ) emailed me back the sound very competent and modern.
This member had suggested that they possibly not get a cat spayed where they lived[emoji]128580[/emoji]Not so.

Update

Ok so good news and bad news. Peaches is healthy and well. I arrived at work, couldn't find her so i called for her and heard her meow and then she came from the other side of the building.
Shes not limping as much, her leg is getting better. I fed her and gave her water, cleaned her but not so much and then went to work.
Every time i had a break or whatever id play with her and then go back to work.
Then when it was time to leave, she was nowhere to be found. I have actually spent about 30 mins looking for her and calling but nothing.
Just when i lost hope and was about to leave she showed up. It was a huge relief. So i pet her and massaged her for a bit then went inside to checkout (we have a fingerprint thing) and when i came back out she was gone again.
I kept looking and calling for about another 30 or maybe 45 minutes but nothing. And i had to leave.
Hopefully she'll be there tomorrow. I just need any advice on how to keep her around till i could actually leave and get her inside my car
Thanks

Here are some photos from today. Poor thing was eating so fast it was heartbreaking! I have a very short video but idno how to upload it
