I'd like to test a theory I have that my oldest would be more comfortable riding to his appointments in a soft sided carrier. However, he sometimes loses control of his bladder so I need a carrier I can throw in the laundry. Any suggestions?

I think most soft sided carriers are hand wash and air dry only. A machine, even a front loading one, may cause damage to the carrier.

You can line the inside of a carrier with puppy pads to absorb any accidents.

Yeah, we already do the puppy pad thing. Maybe I can tape some along the sides to catch "projectile pee." :). I actually went ahead and ordered two(that have free shipping on returns) for him to try out. I'm not sure if he would want to go larger or smaller than his current carrier. We shall see.

I'm still interested in suggestions. :)

I'm curious how your soft side carrier trial went. Is your cat more comfortable in it than a hard sided carrier? I'm considering a soft side carrier.
