I wish! I just bought a new Dirt Devil at my trusty Wal-Mart. Years and years ago, I had an in-home demonstration of the Rainbow. Boy, did I want that baby. It was $600 then. Who knows the cost now? Supposedly, my DD is great on allergen control, but I saw my daughter still sneezing......

That is one cool vacuum! My husband has one at work, he says they work great. We bought a miele cat & dog a few month ago, what a difference it makes having a high quality machine, I love it. Hope yours meets and exceeds all your expectations.

Hi ya Colby!

We have a dyson as well. Our model and one very similar to yours(also a dyson), we gave away to all our best in shows at our recent cat show. They are excellent machines.

I was considering a Dyson myself after our animal hair managed to clog not one but two vacuums on a consistent basis hehe I read some really poor reviews about that brand so I took a different (and slightly cheaper) route. After some research I settled on a Eureka Ultra Whirlwind ($217 at Walmart) and I absolutely adore it! Even with 3 cats and 2 dogs it tackles the carpet like a champ and I get so giddy over the little dirt indicator light. I hope your Dyson exceeds the reviews and that you're as happy with it as I am with my Eureka. I never would have expected that I'd get so excited to clean the floors heheh but this vacuum makes that happen

I use a Kirby G5, that I got used off of E-Bay. I have never found a more powerful vacuum anywhere, even when the bag is full it still outperforms anything I have ever seen.

I want one! I keep unclogging my Kirby about 3 times a week with cat fur! Of course 12 cats might be why, but still. I saw the Dyson advertised and wanted one badly. Does it work as well as advertised Colby?

BTW how are the cats? Cracker, Barrell and Mae?

they are great! Mae has this knack of doing something naughty and then crawling into my lap, laying down and purring so I can't possibly be mad at her

I have a Dyson too - it out performs any other vacuum I have seen. I talked a friend into it too after gushing about mine - she love it too!

Had mine for about 5 years now (the Mondrian - I think). Anyways it's purple and red.

It's SOOOOO good, I've got thru 2 pet-heads but as long as you keep the filters changed it keeps on a-sucking!!!! There is nothing more satisfying that seeing what looks like 3 extra cats whizzing around the container - you just KNOW you're house is cleaner that it was
!!!!
