My baby Mingle is 2 years old, and she's a domestic short hair kitty. I recently noticed that she might have stopped growing? She's pretty small, weight 3 kilos (about 6 pounds). My vet didn't seem to think much of it, and I don't think it's anything bad but I'm just curious. I adopted her when she was about two weeks old, she was found in the streets in Mexico. At first I fed her Whiskas, then after a while I changed to Purina cat chow (I know both are terrible, but at the time that was what I had closest to me. I feed her pure balance now) she was spayed when she was about a year old (I had to make an appointment for her to get spayed months in advance, so she got in heat before she could get spayed). She has all her shots and everything, but I've fostered a few kittens and now by the pics I see they're huge compared to mingle. Why is she so tiny? Does anyone else have a tiny baby?

She looks really healthy to me. Some cats are just much smaller than others. It depends on how big the mother was, how many kittens were in the litter, how well fed they were and the mother was during pregnancy...........

One of my cats, Happy, is about 2 years old now but she's only 5 lbs. She was born to a feral mother, as Mingle must have been.

Mingle is so cute! She was really lucky to have been adopted by you.

Awww, Mingle is adorable! My first cat, Casey, was really small too. She was full grown at about a year old and she weighed about 6 pounds her entire life. Like was already said, some kitties are just smaller.
