Coffee, with cream and sugar. I drink iced tea in hot weather and will occasionally have a cup of hot tea in the afternoon, but it isn't a "must" like coffee is.

I honestly can't choose between them. I have a ridiculously huge stash of all kinds of different teas (seriously, it's starting to take over my kitchen
), and another, smaller stash of different coffees - mostly flavoured ones

I NEED my coffees in the morning, but I couldn't bear to be without tea either. A cup of my favourite spiced chai tea is one of my major comforts in life
We must have at least 8 kinds of tea at home - both regular and herbal. My fiance drinks hot tea almost daily at night.  Lady Grey, Earl Grey, Chai, Chamomile, Red Zinger, etc.

I also always have a big container of plain, non sweet Arizona in the fridge.  I usually iced plain tea at home with meals.  It's not expensive to buy a large jug of it, like $2.50 and it lasts me a couple of weeks. I find if I brew it fresh for cold tea, it starts to taste bad after a few days before I can finish it off.

But coffee is my "starter" and I truly can't get moving without it!

It's beyond me how the British can drink tea with milk in it; that just ruins the lovely flavor of tea.
I don't think it's only we Brits who drink tea with milk. I could not ever drink coffee or tea without milk.

Black tea?I'm not a Brit and neither could I. I use half and half and sugar in mine. English Breakfast tea please.

Herbal tea gets sugar.

I'm probably the odd ball out-I don't like either BUT I do like the smell of coffee brewing. I like iced tea but not hot tea. YUCK.

I used to consume diet coke for a couple of decades but finally weaned off. I should have stayed on it...I like Coffee icecream and other fun flavors but no hot coffee.

I like coffee but I don't care for things like coffee ice cream or candy.  I remember reading somewhere years ago that is common.  People who like to drink coffee don't care for coffee flavored things and people who don't drink coffee often like coffee flavored things.

I've met a lot of people like that. I love coffee AND coffee flavored things. Especially ice cream.

I actually prefer tea but drink more coffee :/. Well, gas stations and offices rarely have hot tea prepared! :lol3: I add enough sugar and cream that it's basically coffee-flavored candy, I could never ever drink it black. Earl Grey or Black tea I can have with or without milk/cream (prefer with), but sugar is a necessity. The only tea I can drink without sugar or milk is oolong, with Asian food (sushi or Chinese, etc.).

I also like to make iced sweet tea in the summer.

Ditto, coffee everything for me, I even put a little fine ground coffee in my chocolate cake batter - it enhances the flavor of cocoa powder and gives the cake a richer and distinctive flavor.  I also eat coffee ice cream and coffee yogurt.  If I live to be 100 y.o. I'll attribute it to coffee, lol.

Putting a spoonful of instant coffee into chili really makes it taste richer. Also a spoonful of baking chocolate. It sounds weird but it doesn't taste like coffee or chocolate, just enhances the taste.

I am lactose intolerant (weirdly cheese and yoghurt usually doesn't bother me, but milk and cereal and plain milk do. Very badly). When I can tolerate milk, I use about a tablespoon in my hot black tea. Black tea is like an Indian thing, but us Americans love us some black tea. Well, at least this one does.

I grew up on tea, I've gone through phases, drinking Irish Breakfast, Russian Caravan, and all sorts of exotic teas but I've been drinking Earl Grey for years now. If I'm eating Asian food I drink Green tea.
