I was using Worlds Best Cat Litter for about 6 years.  I swore by that stuff.  First my adoptee Stealth, then new kid Loco used this litter.  It is/was great stuff.  I liked the thought of using a natural litter.  Well, not now !!  I bought a bag of the Multi Cat formula and two bags of the normal (green bag)

Put the Multi in one litter box and the green bag stuff in the 2nd box.  Left me with a spare bag for re-filling of the green bag.  With in a few days the bag of the normal (green bag) bos had WEEVILS !!!!  UGH, I was so freaked out. Emptied the litter box, cleaned the litter box well, went to petsmart and exchanged out the unopened green bag for two big boxes of Fresh Step.  The other litter box with the Multi Cat seems fine.  No weevils.  But I found weevils in the closet where I stored the litter.  I think they were dead tho.  My two fur balls are really liking the new Fresh Step stuff.  In fact they have not used the other litter box with the Multi Cat litter in two days.  Guess I'll empty it out also and put Fresh Step in that also.  It works well, great clumping, no scent, and no odors. Any one else had weevils in their natual corn or wheat ever cat litter ?

No, because I don't use it, but weevils are a possibility with any kind of grain litter. Weevil eggs sometimes come with cornmeal and brown rice, and if not kept in the fridge, they will hatch and infest your pantry.

I used to use Swheatscoop but it attracted bugs of a couple different sorts. Not sure what weevils look like but it may have been. Are they small light brown things?  I switched to Dr. Elsey and am very happy with it.  Isn't Fresh Step scented?

I just called them weevils. Don't know what they were. Small (tiny) brown, slow moving. Fresh Step is unscented.
