Share the weirdest food item  that your cat has eaten.  Only share if your cat didn't get severely sick from it.

You can also share a funny story to go along with it if there is one related to your cat eating.

For me I have 4 cats but only two have eaten things that I have found to be weird.

The first one is I bought a huge gummy bear as a prank/joke gift for my wife. I took it out of the package and set it on the kitchen table, and I went into the other room and told her that I got her a present and it's on the table. So I go to get her and here is one of my cats eating away at one of the ears. it took me about 20 seconds to get her and my cat already had chewed off about 1/2 of the ear. The prank ended up being on me because of the smell that was coming from the litter box afterwards that I had to clean. Cat was perfectly fine afterwards though.

My other cat has a fascination with eating just about everything. I normally like giving my dogs pizza crust every once in a while. So I get done with a slice of pizza and I put some pizza crust on the floor thinking my dog will see it, nope! My 6 pound 8 month old cat sees it, steals it, and goes and hides with it under the couch. I think to myself she will never eat that or at least not eat very much of it. I go looking for her 2 hours later and here she is under the couch still nibbling on the pizza crust. She had about 3/4 of it gone and it looked like she had been eating it the whole time and this was a very big slice of pizza.

One of my cats has a radar on that when I goto the fridge, they know, they sit there and stare at the items and sometimes decide what they are getting before me. Lol once he got in my cupboard and knocked the cerial down, next morning him and 2 others were chomping down on corn flakes, lol i should have took a pic, they didnt even care that I walked in on them. haha.

Lately my cat demands a lick of peanut butter whenever I make peanut butter toast. I have to hold up the toast and he hooks a paw around my wrist and acts like he's holding it himself.......I've tried pulling a tiny piece off and putting it down for him....nope.....gotta eat it like a person does...lol..... He used to gnaw on the occasional corn chip when he was small.

Crunchy green veggies - she even seems to know when I've got them in grocery bags as she heads straight to the right bag and starts chomping.  The top two are asparagus tips and the stems of bell peppers.  Green beans, zucchini come in second.

And peanut butter - big time!

My guy is typically pretty uninterested when it comes to "people food", except for two things, pink vodka sauce pasta and takeout sesame chicken (neither of which I give him, but he sometimes steals). I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw his little paw snaking its way toward my takeout container and trying to hook a piece of chicken!

I've had 8 cats and they never ever ate human food. Except for Baxter. He like cashew nuts.

When I was a kid I had a cat that loved my mother's spagetti.

While the time that Alice tore open a cardboard donut box with her claws and started to eat a glazed donut is pretty funny (she didn't get very far because she made a lot of noise tearing that box open and I rushed into the room to see what she was doing) the craziest is definitely the corn bread fiasco.

My roommate left cornbread in a baggy sitting on the counter. When he came back to it the baggy was shredded to pieces and all that was left of the cornbread was a messy coating of crumbs. I was petting Alice, knowing nothing about her grand theft corn bread. My roommate rushed into the room and said, "She ate my cornbread!" I laughed and dismissed the idea that a cat would steal cornbread. Alice then looked at me very seriously and went BUUUUURRRRRPPPP. She then topped it off with a fart and went back to sleep.

My Oliver will try anything... I think the top of the weird list for him would be sweet baby pickles. He loves them. He also loves asparagus and brussel sprouts.

When he was a kitten, Zephyr would eat bananas. He loved the little slices of them, and the baby food variety. He doesn't like them anymore, but does eat cashews.

A former cat of mine had major getting into food issues with his previous owner. His most legendary food was half of a bag of peanutbutter cups. Then there was the time he discovered a bag of garlic herb potato chips... There was a reason he weighed almost 30 lbs when he came to live with me!

Isabelle is obsessed with lemonade. I won't let her drink it but she really tries. I thought the smell of citrus was offensive to cats, but not her!

The weirdest thing my cat Simba ever ate was a chunk of foam off of my sons mattress. Just knawed a piece off and swallowed it, I couldn't believe it! My kitten hasnt eaten anything too weird (yet lol.)

My Lily is overweight, so I cut her food down to get her to lose some of the extra. The consequence is that she is famished and will eat anything. She stole a saltine off my soup plate and chowed it down. She also loves popcorn, but I bet a lot of kitties love popcorn. This evening, she drooled over some Cheez-its until I gave her one. Or two.

My current 2 don't care much at all for people food. They'll lick vegemite if someone spills it, I guess because it's salty, but my other kitty Charlotte used to love broccoli so much she'd steal it off our plates if we weren't watching.

Suzie loves most salads containing cabbage for some reason (it might be because of the mayo/dressing) so Mum and I have to watch our plates and the salad containers very closely. She's also been interested in bread in the past.

Silky, my big, squishy boy, likes to chew clear plastic wrappings (like you might get some forms of biscuit/cookie/pastries in), but that's not exactly a food item...

I've only had my kitten for 2 months so far, and she hasn't actually eaten anything weird yet... (but we are also being extremely careful not to leave anything out unattended because she seems to go after literally anything at this point) HOWEVER, she has made some strong attempts to steal food that my family was eating, the weirdest being a bag of fig newton cookies that she kept trying to chew her way through the bag of

A friend of mine has a beautiful 17 year old tabby who loves eggplant. My cat's breeder thought it was fine to feed her kitties crisps and twisties (like cheetos).

My orange tabby loves all sorts of human foods. She doesn't get any of course, since she's diabetic. I definitely have to watch her though, I caught her trying to eat coffee grounds once.
and Destiny (profile pic) doesn't like a lot of human food, but goes crazy when I'm making chickpea burgers or vegan cheeze. I think she's confused lol.
