"Famous" people that annoy you

@Denise - I also agree with that. The parents ? (Dont know if it was her dad or the mom's boyfriend on the show) didn't really provide a structured environment for that child and let her run a mock. I watched 2 episodes and that's 2 more than I should have ever watched.

Staying on topic: I really dislike Aaron Hernandez (of the New Englad Patriots). He's been in jail for murder for some time now and he still makes headlines. Smh.

For me, it's anyone who is "famous" for nothing other than being "famous" ... like the Kardashians, who I don't know why anyone cares about what they do, because it doesn't seem like they have done anything but self-promote, but I still can't figure out why I (or anyone else) should give two figs about them.  I won't buy a magazine with any of them on the cover, and if they are mentioned on a tv show, it's time to turn the channel.

I prefer the lifestyles of the four-legged-and-furry.

Honey Boo Boo is a young girl (6-8 years of age) who regularly competes in child beauty pagents. Supposedly she's won more that any girl of that age group. A cable network decided to make a weekly reality show about her and her family, and to put it mildly, they are a train wreck. The mother is dating a convicted child molester and refuses to kick him out of her life. The rest of the family is socially and morally inept, and the girl in question will probably grow up to be a mess of a person in her later years. Trust me, Stewball, it is a very good that you have never watched it, because it is disgusting in many ways. If anybody on the Site watched the show regularly, please tell me id I have gotten this right, or have messed up a few details. I refused to watch it, myself.

Why don't social services step in to take her out of that environment?

Honey Boo Boo is Alana Thompson. She became notable because of the TLC show "Toddlers and Tiaras". It was because of the antics of her and her family on that show that "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo"was born.

Alana appeared in quite a few pageants but to the best of my knowledge, she has only won one while on HCBB. She's not really what most people would call beauty pageant material.

Her mother, June Shannon was involved years ago with a man named Mark McDaniel who was convicted of molesting an 8 year old girl back in 2004. It was later revealed that June's daughter Anna "chickadee" Shannon was the girl that he molested.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was cancelled in late 2014 when June was accused of again dating Mr McDaniel following his release from prison. The show was never brought back despite an entire season's worth of episodes having already been shot.

I'd like to point out that HCHBB was canned immediately following this scandal coming to light yet the show "19 Kids and Counting" was NOT following the scandal involving Josh Duggar. It continued to air for quite some time. Josh Duggar is an ADMITTED pedophile. Mama June trusted someone she shouldn't have. Big difference IMO.

Actually the family has yet to use that word pedophile, and they continue to downplay his "bad choice" and call it inappropriate touch.  Legally Josh's record has been expunged.  But not in the minds of the general public!  The family may want to turn a blind eye to his actions while harshly judging others who do the same thing, but the rest of us won't let them off the hook so easy.  Why are they now Counting On???  It boggles the mind!

I know I've said this before, but to stay on topic, I can't stand the Duggar family (with the exception of Jana and Jinger.)

Re: Honey Boo Boo, I believe I saw somewhere that Social Services did step in when the mother brought the guy back into the home. Other than that, there's nothing they could do; it's not illegal to model obnoxious behavior to your kid :/.

I was glued to the TV after his arrest. Those initial police press conferences were the best reality TV I've ever seen. I just sat there with my mouth open. :nod:

Now it is getting old, although I am interested in how his upcoming trial for the double murder goes.

There are SIX children involved. Very sad.

I too feel sorry for the kids, not only because of the breakup but living in a fishbowl.  Of course who knows what kind of life the adopted kids would've had otherwise.

He's still alive, 69 years old, still a guy (supposedly), and I have no idea about his pets.

The tabloids said he was being kept hostage by the housekeeper. . .and then they said he was trans. . .and then he gave a phone interview and said that he is voluntarily staying at home, and is not transitioning, and is just fine, thanks. Poor guy probably just got sick of being famous. The story I saw said that he lives with 3 Dalmatians and 2 housekeepers.

Yeah I saw all of that. The (alleged) pictures of him dressed as a woman were......  well, they made Caitlyn Jenner look like Cindy Crawford. That's not an insult to anyone. I'm a total live and let live kind of girl. I think everyone deserves to be happy and comfortable in their own skin. I just have a feeling that the photos were doctored- and not well.  

Yeah he was kind of annoying back in the day but at the same time, I also found him somewhat endearing. I think he genuinely liked helping people become the best version of themselves that they could.  I hope he is safe, happy and cared for. 

The "famous" people who annoy me are everyone involved in the recent Presidential election . I especially dislike Mr. smiley face Kaine ! Where did Hillary find THIS guy ?
