First is Lily, who will be 14 tomorrow. Before anyone says how crabby she looks, she isn't. I just had not sculpted her face to give her the sweet look. She was my first silver and is my heart cat. Sleeps in my arms every night.
Next we go from the oldest to the youngest. This is Sunny, a brown tabby male who is 1 year old today.

Happy Birthday to both Lily and Sunny!
Both beautiful kitties.Just love their fluffy fur. I would constantly be hugging them both.

Happy birthday kitties <3 You are both stunning!

(I'm sorry but the mental image of you "sculpting" your gorgeous girls face made me giggle! That is too cute!)

Sculpting is what we call the grooming of the face when you show a Persian. We remove the spiky hair to create a rounded effect, either by plucking or using thinning shears. A little strategic use of the thinning shears between the eyewhiskers will help to remove the frowning appearanc - the brow doesn't look so furrowed..

To a point yes, show grooming isn't something you pick up in a day or two. It probably took me 2-3 years before the judges started complimenting me on my grooming. For the ones I don't show, it is easy as long as I keep a routine. With so many long haired pets in the house (even the dog is long haired) if I don't have  a routine I am in TROUBLE!
This is what I feel like if I get off track.
