LOL  My cats go crazy when I sing.

But that's usually in full choral mode in the middle of the day.  I haven't tried a lullaby voice on them.
Sometimes they run and sometimes they don't.  Depends on what I'm belting out at the time.

We are all convinced that Regent understands English. He has clearly figured the meaning of several phrases, and often when you speak to him he reacts with his face as if he is keeping up.

He loves to have very loud discussions with us. He will meow and then wait for us to answer and then meow again.

this is funny...My cat Seven started playing fetch with a toy mouse when he was a kitten and it wasnt something that was taught he just did it. one day i threw "mousy" and he brought it back. so then it turned into a game he used to bring me mousy and i'd throw it and say bring mousy back...good boy!
That is how it started with mine too, he was not a kitten by then though, but maybe 6-8 months old, it was not long after I had trapped him and brought indoors along with his brother and sister, whom had been left to die after their mother was shot, so all were just skin and bones.

One morning I found black one stepping over me as I was attempting to sleep, I think it was less than a month from getting him and I had partly eaten chocolate at night table, so I took part of tinfoil wrapping and crumbled it into a ball and tossed it on the floor.

Idea was to get him out from the bed so I could continue sleeping, but he had other ideas, so he brought it back, I toss it again and he brings it back looking excited from this new game.

Now summertime favorite game of them is tossing ball down to stairs, which have two 90 degree turns, several of them chases ball down and try to hint it first, sometimes they even bring it back so I can toss it again. During winter stairs have subzero temperatures so can't keep doors open.

I tend to talk some nonsense to them during that game too, to encourage them to play more, running should be good for them, especially ones that stay mostly indoors.

My singing tends to scare even bears, so I have found humming being much better, just tunes I made up myself, observing the cats and adjusting based on their reactions.

Here's another one I forgot, when Angel is hungry & meowing at me insistently  for his dinner as I am fixing it, I sometimes say, "o.k.  Boss kitty, coming right up boss kitty!"

Catlandia! Just kidding! :D Florida!
I always talk to my cat Bruno. It's always easier, because cats don't really judge you. Actually, they do, but I like to pretend Bruno is motivating me. We watch cat videos together and he mews and nudges me. He likes cat videos, I guess.[emoji]9830[/emoji]

"Cats, cats, cats. Brekkies (or suppies) goosh-goosh-gooooooshyfood. CatCatCat (like a hen turkey calling). Move it or lose it" Ya think maybe I talk to them? My friend always laughs when we are on the phone, as I spend as much time talking to them as him.

I always talk to my cats. Bella talks back too. It's like you have another child in your home.. Before my son moved out long ago we got Bella and every time my son comes to visit she always hisses at him. I don't know if I could live without Bella. She is my baby. My other child.

Of course! I talk to Sooty a lot! Sometimes we have a chat. I'll say something, and he replys with a ''meow!'' Usually, that is. Sometimes he just ignores me.

I agree. They are such good listeners, too. Lilith is my vocal kitty. She answers me back. Sophie is the strong, silent type but listens and has the greatest facial expressions so I know she answers me that way. She's so wise. Still working on Henry
